The only thing that makes sense to me outside of, like, a soundtrack single (  ) or something would be a surprise twin/companion album to Ocean Blvd releasing the same day (March 24), marketed as a double album, to secure that #1, with the single from that premiering this Tuesday. 

 

And that sounds ******* insane. But this is Lana Del Rey.

Me neither, but I am very surprised that Interscope/Polydor gave their okay. In the end of the day, just like every other artist that is signed, she has to hand over the material and they decide what to do with it and when to release it, not the artist. 

 

I just want her new releases to have their time to shine, that's what puzzles me. 

 

But hey, new music is always a good thing. 

She will never top Cockchella though. Bless her heart!
