Bryan Spears Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Lana never fails to serve regardless and BB is in my top 3 so I am extremely perched for this I understand everyone has their own preferences in sound, but Lana does not seem to be going back to that heavy/loud instrumentation of her early years and appears to be exploring the different soundscapes of a singer-songwriter and also redefining what that could sound like. People begged her for an unreleased collection so when she did half of one with BB, people still weren't satisfied so it seems like she can't win. OT: so excited to hear The Grants and Let the Light In

truthteller Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 after the two career highlight singles and you're still thinking it'll be BB mixtape youtube rejects rips 2.0?
SixWholeYears Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 You don't need loud productions to be interesting. NFR and COCC are masterpieces whereas BB sounds very unfinished and basic.

NOW Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 She's headlining Outsidelands, first time back since 2016
Bad_vocal_technique Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 I will probably have to fly to Brazil to see her for the first time
NOW Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 (edited) New interview with SYML. He talks about being on Lana's album for track Paris, Texas, and possibly working together again in the future (translated from Dutch): Quote You can also be heard on Did You Know There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, the new record by Lana Del Rey that will be released next month. How did that collaboration come about? She had heard one of my numbers and tried to contact me through an old Instagram account that had been inactive for years. She eventually got my number through my management and when I was in Los Angeles she asked to call. I myself am a big fan of what she does, so of course I agreed. We talked for hours about music and what she wanted me to do on her album. That evening I had a show and she came to watch and afterwards we talked. That was a very surreal experience, but somehow it also felt like we had known each other for years and I think that nicely illustrates the trust between artists. I still don't fully realize I'm part of her album. I didn't sit in the studio with her on that track as the album was almost done, but we do have plans to work together in the studio in the future. Quote Can you tell us something about that number? It's very sad and melancholy, when I first heard it it didn't even sound like Lana. It was like introducing a new voice, which I thought was really cool. That creates a certain disconnect with the image you have of her, a bit like on that last single. On “A&W” it sounds like she doesn't really know where she wants to go, but she knows that very well, better than most artists. It's like she's wearing a new suit. https://www.dansendeberen.be/2023/03/07/interview-syml-lana-del-rey-ontmoeten-was-een-heel-surreele-beleving/ Edited March 7, 2023 by NOW
