(I know you don't think like this) Just don't go in expecting bops. Yes, there's Jimmy, Peppers, and Taco Truck, however most of these songs so far are very mellow, but very very very beautiful and complex. Set your expectations to that and you'll love it.

Tbh, the “bops” are what’s scaring me. They always sound clunky among the other beautiful, lush and expansive songs so I’m glad to hear that they’re pretty complex and subdued. I just worry we’ll have another Coachella/In My Feelings stain moment again, but that appears to not be the case and that’s reassuring

honestly i just miss percussion in her music. you can make a ballad and still have percussive elements. video games is right there. hell even tunnel has drums. i’m gonna lose it if it’s straight up piano/melodic arrangement on half the songs

Grandfather has pretty prominent drums all throughout the song
