I think people will appreciate that album more as time goes on, but I liked it better than COCC from the get go also taste, Sweet is so beautiful and I can see myself loving it as much as I love songs like American, Love Song, and Cherry Blossom as time goes on... BB was truly that bridge to a better realized record, similar to how LFL and its folk-leaning side led to NFR!. It's messy but it's the basis for where her next album takes us (or so I've heard from early reactions here thus far)
JoanneActII Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 oh great more blue banisters discourse she should've reworked the uv outtakes (cherry blossom, nectar of the god and living legend) like she did for if you lie down with me instead of ripping them from youtube ffs (or just removed those 3 tracks entirely), added watercolor eyes, removed the trio interlude (literally useless) and removed dealer. the album sounds like a messy fanmade mixtape. dealer is great but doesn't fit on the album at all and should've been the song used for euphoria. almost half the album being outtakes from 2013-17 is just ridiculous.. blue banisters has some of her best work (basically all the actually new songs are excellent) and the stuff i've heard from ocean blvd definitely feels like the best parts of blue banisters greatly elevated.

Mariah's Glove Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Everyone loves to write essays about blue banisters yet no one cares to stream it. Why?

AndresVanDeKamp Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Blue Banisters is top 2 Lana songs with Venice B*tch right beside her, let's not get it twisted! It's a bit messy as an album and probably too long, but it's leagues better than Chemtrails and looks like this album is going to be a return to form. Anyway I listened to Honeymoon today and as a hater previously it was actually kinda doing something for me! Will have to listen more often. BTD (aged) + LFL (unlistenable) + COTC (tacky back-end) make up the worst in her discography!
flower moon Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 LOVE to see BB praise . truly top tier and on daily rotation.
