YES that's what I'm saying! it's in my trinity at this point, with NFR! and Ultraviolence :clap3: it was certainly a grower, but the stripped back and somber vibes of Blue Banisters makes it a really special album imo. and then there's some experimental vibes on songs such as Black Bathing Suit and Wildflower Wildfire that make those songs POP, as well as the beautiful, pure balladry of songs like Arcadia, Beautiful, Nectar of the Gods, and Cherry Blossom. I think people will appreciate that album more as time goes on, but I liked it better than COCC from the get go

also taste, Sweet is so beautiful and I can see myself loving it as much as I love songs like American, Love Song, and Cherry Blossom as time goes on...

BB was truly that bridge to a better realized record, similar to how LFL and its folk-leaning side led to NFR!. It's messy but it's the basis for where her next album takes us (or so I've heard from early reactions here thus far) :gaycat4:

oh great more blue banisters discourse :rip:

she should've reworked the uv outtakes (cherry blossom, nectar of the god and living legend) like she did for if you lie down with me instead of ripping them from youtube ffs (or just removed those 3 tracks entirely), added watercolor eyes, removed the trio interlude (literally useless) and removed dealer. the album sounds like a messy fanmade mixtape. dealer is great but doesn't fit on the album at all and should've been the song used for euphoria. almost half the album being outtakes from 2013-17 is just ridiculous..

blue banisters has some of her best work (basically all the actually new songs are excellent) and the stuff i've heard from ocean blvd definitely feels like the best parts of blue banisters greatly elevated.

I'm still salty it was ONE point away from the well deserved universal acclaim though...

By drop you mean drop into the recycle bin on her computer for a 9th straight album? Yes I agree

Blue Banisters is top 2 Lana songs with Venice B*tch right beside her, let's not get it twisted! It's a bit messy as an album and probably too long, but it's leagues better than Chemtrails and looks like this album is going to be a return to form.

Anyway I listened to Honeymoon today and as a hater previously it was actually kinda doing something for me! Will have to listen more often. BTD (aged) + LFL (unlistenable) + COTC (tacky back-end) make up the worst in her discography!

The last three tracks seem to be kinda midtempo, if that's any help.

speaking of BB numbers, it's pulling almost double monthly streams than COTC. Surprised?

I want Jesus to take me out this life, baby
And I talk to Jesus
And ask him if he'll think of saving me
