They’ve been sliding into archaic Sharia Law for years now so not surprising

Yikes. Bye, bye, tourism! But really, that's the last of their worries. That country has been led in a horrible direction for a while. It's actively trying to be the next Iran.

Why tourists as well? So dumb. As for a Muslim nation, I'm not surprised since this type of law is the default in many places.

Wait, tourists as well? :skull:

Bruh, The laws is kinda tricky,  basically they only punish the men.

According to the latest draft dated Nov. 24 that was seen by Reuters, sex outside marriage, which can only be reported by limited parties such as close relatives, carries a maximum one-year prison sentence

New laws passed include banning sex and living arrangements between unmarried couples as well as several blasphemy laws.

Quote

The new code, which also applies to foreign residents and tourists, bans cohabitation before marriage, apostasy, and provides punishments for insulting the president or expressing views counter to the national ideology.

…..

There are now also six blasphemy laws in the code, including apostasy - renouncing a religion. For the first time since its independence, Indonesia will make it illegal to persuade someone to be a non-believer.

New defamation articles also make it illegal for people to insult the president or criticise state ideology.

this is great. It's a shame that people have sex indiscriminately like animals nowadays, people consider it fashionable.

You do realise that this also bans gay couples from living together if reported by parents since they are not allowed to get married in Indonesia. :biblio:
