I’ve never listened to her before but her album is listed as the highest rated album so far this year at AlbumOfTheYear.com so I decided to give the album a listen, and I’m so glad I did. It was such an experience listening to this album. My god, she is an Artist! She understands what sounds good to the ears and master at creating atmospheres with sound. Her vocal productions are amazing, and the music itself sounds more futuristic than anything I’ve ever heard. I love the album. I was listening to this album while reading a book earlier and it was soooo peaceful! This is such perfect meditation music lol.

I thought ATRL lied about her being that ******* great of an artist :penguin:

If you think that's crazy just read her explanations for the songs on Spotify, if you scroll to the bottom while a song is playing you'll be able to see it. She's insane

I need a remixes album for this, so much potential.

Sega Bodega and A.G. Cook can do their magic.

Fuuuuuuck just imagine if Björk could do a remix for Crude, Hopedrunk or Butterfly Net, that would epic as I'm pretty sure her production would fit amazingly on any of those three songs.

I don’t have Spotify, I listen on Apple Music - Where can I find the explanations for each song? I love her abstract poetic lyrics so much. It makes the songs sounds expensive.

I listened to Door cuz of the MV and it sounds like the kind of music I want Lana to make :wanda:Fantastic!

I’ll listen to the album in full when I have time to sit down and give it all my attention.

Tragique! I'm not sure if you can find it anywhere else tbh, I would start a trial or something just to read it cause it's that crazy

Ok after many many listens, Sunset it's the best song on the album

Yeah we need a remix album for this masterpiece

I’m sooooo obsessed at the vibe of her music that I can’t listen to anything else. Beyoncé is hella mad at Caroline cuz I haven’t listened to her in days :wanda:

This is Abstract Art Pop :wanda: I think this is the kind of music I want want LANA to make.

it’s so hard to pick a top three but if I have to, so far it it’s

1. Bread Butter

2. Welcome to my island

3. Billion

EEWWW what is this review trying to bring its Metacritic score down on purpose :biblionny: who is this pressed person?

http://www.noripcord.com/reviews/music/caroline-polachek/desire-i-want-turn-you

And it did. It's at 93 now :rip:

What a terrible review, the backhanded compliments are just shameless :toofunny2:

Polachek is an incredibly talented artist, and much of this record is, consequently, excellent.

Still, there are enough missteps for my palate that keep this squarely in the “just fine” column and keep me scratching my head about its overall reception.

referencing reviews to an album IN your review like this should automatically disqualify you from meteoritic cause what's the ******* point here lmao

I know after I read Caroline’s wiki lol. Angel is literally one of the best songs on ST; Bey needs to snatch her for another songs. I can hear Beyoncé’s vocal layerings and harmonies on top of her productions :wanda:

This album just keeps getting better within every listen; It already sounds 10x better than the first time. I just love when you discover something by chance and you happen to love it.

Wonderful album, I could listen over and over. Sunset was my instant fave and I think it still is. Can‘t believe she delivered a better record than Pang.

Pretty in Possible, Sunset and Crude Drawing of an Angel is my trinity

I've started the album survivor, feel free to participate

okay as much as Hopedrunk Everasking is not nearly as bombastic or transcendent as some of the best songs, it really reminds me of some Vespertine era vibes (think Generous Palmstroke) with some of those vocal harmonies at around 2:03 :jonny3: so it’s safe to say that that song is lookin to be a grower
