Pang is absolutely brilliant, and Hit Me Where It Hurts, Door, and Ocean of Tears are three of the greatest pop songs ever

 

but tbh this ALSO has three of the greatest pop songs ever on it as well (Welcome to My Island, I Believe, and Billions)

 

I think overall, this beats Pang by just a HAIR, but both are absolutely fantastic

I've sat with this album a few times, and it's really, really good. I do agree that the singles are the best songs on here, but the deep cuts are still pretty solid. I still prefer Pang, but keep in mind, my love for that album continued to grow with repeated listens. For some reason, my favorite deep cuts are Pretty in Possible and Crude Drawing of an Angel.

AOTY I fear (until ESV). I liked Pang, but this is MUCH stronger for the whole tracklist. And the production much more varied. She SNAPPED. @Reverse Warholian listen to Pitchfork's newest darling.
