ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted February 15, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted February 15, 2023 Still can’t decide the best new track. Could he smoke, butterfly jet, or maybe even I believe?
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted February 15, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted February 15, 2023 I’m shocked at the amount of people saying Pang is better. Like what!! Is Pang overrated or this is underrated. Well? In a few years time most will realize.

Still a great song, just makes me a bit uncomfortable. Think there were better ways to tribute her than alluding to her manner of death. Wait, I'm just now realizing this I'm sure Caroline meant no harm here, but oh wow, I'll never look at this line the same again

I get where you’re coming from but they were friends so I don’t think we have any right of saying how she should tribute, cope or word it. In the end they were close and it was more of her loss than ours. Also, to me, the line reflects more about her wishing it didn’t have happened rather than narrating the form of death itself
DevinWylde Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 The smoke alarm in the background of Hopedrunk Everasking is kind of perfect

Yeah, I'm guessing the girlies must be smoking crack or something because while Pang was cute for a hot minute back then, Desire is already a classic in the making and easily on another level entirely I fear.

bestfiction Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 The way she's literally chirping in I Believe
bestfiction Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Also the acclaim she's been getting for this is INSANE. Like a 90ish on MC and AOTY is no joke Melon better stan this but from what I recall he liked most singles so
Karla Cabello Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 wait im kinda liking it better on second listen. maybe its a grower
BlackoutZone Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Pang felt like a bigger project to me, every single track was a stand out and offered something unique sonically while keeping the album very cohesive. I still revisit it all the time and keep finding new favorites (Look At Me Now being the #1 now when I used to keep it out of top 5). I really dug the narrative of album telling a different story being played backwards. The visuals were next level. The songwriting was lovely. Desire is amazing and the acclaim is deserved, but I can’t help but feel like something is missing. I partially blame the rollout, cause singles are easily the strongest songs. When we got Bunny and Billions I was 100% sure she is easily topping Pang for me and in the end I feel like they’re on par at best. I dare to say there is some filler which doesn’t do a 12-track album with 5 songs released prior any good. It flows pretty well, but even with its interpolations throughout it still feels a bit less cohesive. But if that was in favor of the great influences of UK club scene here then so be it (still pissed at lack of PinkPantheress on Fly To You beat). Either way she is absolutely killing it, cause whew what a career she has and still trying new things, putting out masterpieces. Danny L Harle also such a versatile producer it’s crazy, love to see that their chemistry in studio doesn’t slow down. Also noticed Ariel did some additional production on I Believe, she better work with him more on the next one. As well as OPN, cause Long Road Home would not only fit on this perfectly, but would easily be one of the best songs.
josesuxx Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Butterfly Net is ethereal, her best song ever I fear
Tyrion_LMG Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I liked Pang back in the days, but I instantly loved this album far more. The only track I’d delete is Hopedrunk, the rest is just immaculate.
wraith Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Dang is bad, she made the right decision scrapping it. It gives attempt to appease hyperpop gays. I think it samples even Tears Pinkpantheress version of FTY now please.
kyliefever2002 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 oh wow dang is really bad those jarring blurted out vocals wasnt this a title track to an ep or even the album at some point?
theoghon Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Why did my mind jump to this when I heard Sunset
sam.teas Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Dang is so bad. fortunately it was scrapped
Sugden Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 i believe is one of the best pop songs ever made when you think about it
West Coast Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 current trinity: i believe, blood & butter, sunset
