Josh Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 (edited) As the title says what are some things that straight people take for granted that gay people wish they have? For me it's the fact straights talk about how hard dating is but they don't realize they can meet their significant other sitting next to them at Starbucks or something whereas gay men have to be Nancy Drew just to find out if another man is gay. Heteros don't have to relocate to a bigger city to find someone to go on a date with. Edited November 26, 2022 by Josh

Tropez Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 The fact that dating etiquette is taught to them as teens. The fact that straight people aren’t a minority, and thus have a massive dating pool compared to gays. It’s way easier to get into a relationship. And there apps for dating are all straight focused. Almost all the gay first apps are centered on hook ups. Which is why gays have to use Hinge, Bumble, etc for a relationship.

Being in the suburbs or rural areas are a gay waste land. A straight person could find a relationship way easier in a rural area vs a gay person. Not even an exaggeration.

The TEA My parents will never understand the reason why I refuse to go back to the old small town I (reluctantly) dedicated 18 years of my life living in. I never even had my first kiss until I was first year in college in the city. All that wasted teenage years and still wasting my early 20s as well here even tho i should be enjoying my life living alone and having all this freedom to myself… I guess the underlying trauma is just too much to truly get over So yeah, straight people get it a lot easier. They never run out of options. The opportunities, whether in the dating world or in other aspects are endless for them, for the average and even the under average people. They eventually find love and settle down. Meanwhile so many old gheys are still single and looking for hookups for the rest of their lives. And I don’t reckon this is a life choice, at all. It’s sad but true, we’ll never truly have the same equality as our straight counterparts.

Alldeezy Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 I think bi/gays have better luck finding the one, all my LGBT friends are all doing well in there relationships, while all the straight boys don't take relationships serious, they legit just use girls as trophy's and its disgusting. but i'm not a man or gay so I don't know for sure. all bi girls look so happy and adorable as a couple but sadly I just don't feel that way for women.
Dula Peep Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 literally everything. I'm so sick of my straight female friends talking about how hard it is to find a man... although I do agree with them that 99% of straight men are absolute trash
imabadkid Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 a lot of straight porn is leagues and leagues better than gay porn. a lot of gay porn is G4P so it’s not only super cheesy and cringey but the guys aren’t always into it and it comes across.
Breakdown Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 holding hands and kissing in public when straights do that no one has a problem and these are the people that say "I don't have a problem with gay people, I just don't want to see it"
RunUpDoneUp Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 (edited) The simplest answer is the institutions that are literally bent in their favor. Their existence is so validated, so all encompassing that they don't have to consider doing, going or being anywhere as it pertains to how they will be treated based on their sexuality, meanwhile this is the world of hell that everyone outside that bubble who have a partner or are seeking a partner/s have to contend with and make calculations around pertaining to job, recreation and home.
