Again, everything is likely locked into the deal with Amazon Studios, thus it being kept under the SAG-AFTRA strike.

I can't see a label not even trying to release a buzz single that won't be in the album ala "Louboutins" just to say she's still here. They must have the single and video ready to go.

Not a Jason Derulo reject :deadbanana4: at least Greatest Love Story Never Told isn't the Camila song

Edit: TWO of them :deadbanana4::deadbanana4:

There are no Jason Derulo rejects? Are there demos, if then YES. But I believe she and Doja Cat’s producer created every song from scratch for this record, so if anything she got Jason Derulo to co-write on two songs. Midnight Trip to Vegas is specific to her wedding with Ben at the White Chapel in Vegas. The other one This Time Around is an “F u” to the media and that she and Ben will pull through this time around.

Benny or no Benny, the strike would’ve still been active, though. It wouldn’t have made much difference. I doubt with a different manager she would scab and ignore SAG rules.

My suggestion of ditching Benny does not equate to me trying to say she should go against SAG rules. I've held the "ditch Benny" POV for many years, dating back to the Brave era.

I understand. I thought it was mentioned in relation to the album not being released and faulting Benny. Maybe not by you but others. I think Benny is amazing for business deals and such, but what has he done for her musically… I mean yeah she could use some new and especially younger blood in her

team.

Atp she should just wait and drop it in the first week of Jan. First couple of months of the year are usually dry for releases assuming she wants to make some noise on the charts

She needs someone who understands the streaming/vinyl era of music, and Benny Medina is not that. Unfortunately, he is too wrapped up in all of her ventures to cut him loose, unfortunately. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite her in the behind.

Yes exactly. And not just that, I don’t think she would cut him loose because they are really good friends. He was her first manager and the godfather of her twins. I only see them separating when some scandal goes down between them. Which happened once before and he got fired and became Mariah Carey’s manager during The Emancipation of Me era. I still can’t believe that happened, but somehow they got back together and re-established their personal and working relationship.

I was wondering the same thing. Hasn't it been almost a year since she announced it? I fear people are going to lose interest before the album comes out.
