Thanks for sharing!

I believe she posted this because it was exactly 1 year since that one Midnight Trip to Vegas. Just a little tease. I don’t think it’s a single or anything. It doesn’t sound like a very strong song, bit filler, but let’s see!

I cant believe it's been over 8 months she announced this and the only thing we have today is the full lyrics of one song :rip:

i hope they planned to go full promo when they have a release date..

Well we also have a teaser video and full track list and an Apple Music interview.

But I know what you mean. It’s all so random.

At least the actors' strike has finally reminded her to accelerate the album campaign again :clap3:

New lyrics from her email letter

Midnight Trip to Vegas

I always dreamed that I’d find somebody like you

We’re drowning

In orchid arrangements

Dresses and pastries

What if it’s raining, yeah?

Is this what we’ve been dreaming of?

It’s crowded with families and agents

Room reservations

Which destination

Paps helicopters

Event of the ages

Caught in the matrix

Then you whispered in my ear

Said let’s get out of here

We can disappear tonight

What about a

Midnight trip to Vegas

Just me and you baby

Throw the kids in the back

Of the pink Cadillac

And us in the bathroom changing

Midnight trip to Vegas

Both our hearts are racin’

I’ll pick you up late

We don’t have to wait

Yeah let’s do something crazy

Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo

Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo

We could be driving right now

20 miles into the desert by now

Your hand on my thigh

Laughin’ ‘til we cry

Didn’t tell a soul ‘bout how it’s goin’ down tonight

Top down singing Freddie Mercury

Waiting in the line at the DMV

“Just married” on the window

So glad that we could keep it simple

Then I whispered in your ear

I’m so glad we’re here

Dancing with our fears tonight

On a Midnight trip to Vegas

Just me and you baby

Throw the kids in the back

Of the pink Cadillac

And us in the bathroom changin’

Midnight trip to Vegas

Both our hearts are racin’

I’ll pick you up late

We don’t have to wait

Yeah let’s do something crazy

Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo

Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo

I always dreamed that I’d find somebody like you

What about a

Midnight trip to Vegas

Just me and you baby

Throw the kids in the back

Of the pink Cadillac

And us in the bathroom changing

Midnight trip to Vegas

Both our hearts are racin’

I’ll pick you up late

We don’t have to wait

Yeah let’s do something crazy

Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo

Woohoo woohoo woohoo ooo

I wonder if this is still getting released this year?

I really love that she’s putting her all into this. I love that we’re getting a full on era from her. Music videos, documentary, film, an album and promo. They say the devil works hard but obviously, jlo works harder

Thanks for bringing back the thread @Ryan

We got some amazing updates around the songs performed during the Apple+ taping. Here’s a review of someone that went, describing each new song performed:

My Review - Apple Music Live - This Is Me ... Now.

Let me start by saying that it was a pleasure to meet you all there. I've been here for years sharing this admiration and love for JLO and killing each other sometimes so it was so nice to put a real face to the profile names finally. Also, thanks to Divo and Larry for making all this happen. We really need to respect her team more. My Take:

- Stage: I can tell there is a thought behind it. The stage looked great, showed a vision and honestly, it was very different. I don't usually associate JLO with so much black on stage, but this time worked. The D&G black outfit with the glasses was perfection. Her body is amazing, and her dancing was on point. She has grown so so much, and I just know she is going to keep going. THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

- Hearts & Flowers: You would think that this is a ballad but she kind of raps ala JFTB and refers to it. It reminds me of Somebody's Girl in terms of lyrics. She brags about how she made it without help and how she didn't have to change one damn thing about her.

- This Is Me Now:  It's a great opening to the album I can tell already. It samples "Cry Me A River" so it is kind of dark but with a fresh twist to it. She sings the last note beautifully with her diaphragm and belts the note. Again vocally pleasing and she didn't sound scared.

- Rebound: This is a throwback to 2002-2004 R&B, I love that she plays with the runs (Which she almost never does), and the last run of "reeeeebound" took the song to where it needed to go for her vocally. It is a really good song and sticks in your mind. So far so good. I can see it being a single.

- Dear Ben Pt. II: Her most sexual, sensual, and fuckable song up to date I would say. It started with such cute lyrics there was a part where she say something like "When you say I love you, no I love you moreee" or something but then it went to this dark, sexual, and horny place where she sings about the things that he does to her and it is everything you think they did the first night that they got back together. I CAN'T wait to hear the studio version. This fits so perfectly in her range. This man really has her open in every sense of the word. She also did an updated version of the Vegas "Girls" routine which was fire.

- Broken Like Me: Before performing this song, she talked about how this was the most difficult song to write, if not the most difficult of her career. It is basically telling Ben, are you sure you love someone “Broken Like Me”. Such a beautiful, stripped and again vocally fitting song for her. By this point I was like damn, she is really putting it all out there for us. She got a standing ovation and cried afterwards. I thought Ben was on the second floor since she kept looking up with so much love. This was the most vulnerable and personal that I’ve seen her lyrically.

- This Time Around: Another FU song to the public. I loved how she used the middle finger in the chorus and did not want to put it down lmao. She said something around the lines of “This Time Around We Are Sticking Around” or something I can’t recall. She is standing by this love SO HARD, so I hope it never ends.

- Hummingbird: Another song that she kind of raps if I remember correctly. I can say that this is not what we were expecting regarding the lyrics and beat, it is not a ballad and the only part she mentions the word “Hummingbird” is that small lyric piece which I don’t think is part of the chorus if I remember correctly.

- Can’t Get Enough: Undoubtedly the most produced and choreographed song she put on the show (I guess for a reason) … The song sampled “I’m Still in Love” but in a nice way... I am going to say that it also samples Michael Jackson’s “Wanna Be Starting Something” – Some people say it was just part of the show, but it just sounded so good that I can’t see this song any other way. Smart *****. This is the first single for real. Of the snippet we heard she said “This next record, you guys might already know it since someone stole it from our wedding but that’s okay, I choose forgiveness. Don’t worry by the time this comes out you guys will be very familiar with this record.”

Overall, I want to say, this is a perfect follow-up to TIMN given that we have not heard some of the other songs. This is definitely TIMT grown up, thicker, juicier, and more talented sister. In the beginning, I was skeptical of choices like “Dear Ben PT. 2” but if she is going to give me that grown material, I need a full album of Dear Ben’s. I am so excited for this record. No visuals were shown, just what we have already seen in black and white from the studio sessions. Big thanks to Roget, Estivie, HitBoy, Ink, Ben Affleck, and everyone involved in this trilogy. I could not be more proud knowing that all of this awesome material will have its own visual accompanied by a movie and documentary. Jennifer I love you! She really seems to have put so much into it. This is a grown, mature Jennifer. This is a woman who is free, having multiple orgasms when he fucks her and found her voice. It had to be said.
