she needs a separate team for her music career because the way she's fumbled the chances are multiple successful eras that should've been followed with albums like dance again, aint your mama and por primera vez could've easily been 3 more albums and eras considering each had a hit. maybe the latter not so much but that was shaping up to be her best body of work yet, spanish wise

What needs to do is ditch Benny Medina. IMMEDIATELY! "Dance Again" was for a greatest hits collection, not a new album; "Ain't Your Mama" shouldn't have happened; and I truly don't believe Por Primera Vez existed, especially per an interview where I recall her stating there technically was never an album.

Ain't Your Mama should have been the first single out of a very pop album in 2016. She was working on something but we didn't know what was that. Por Primera Vez had 13 tracks which she told on her own, so pretty much we knew that it was going to happen. They were waiting for a Spanish song of hers to smash before dropping it though.

El Anillo was a hit and they still cancelled the album :cm:

It wasn't as huge as people make it seem. Song was viral in Latin market, but chart-wise it didn't do anything except Spain. Also until El Anillo was released, Por Primera Vez was old news.

she should say something....

It's as if she wanted to ride the emotional nostalgia of rekindling things with Ben all the way, then realized she actually had to release an album.

I mean it's already one week past Christmas/New Year holidays. I would expect a first single to drop along with promotion of Shotgun Wedding, but I'll keep my hopes low. Didn't they also film something two weeks ago?

So she's begun promoting the movie.... now where tf is the album? :fish2:

So, is this ever coming or...?

I’m in no rush for this, we’ll have the movie in a few weeks time. Once that dies down she can focus on the album and do one project at a time well. The movie looks great so it will be buzz around her name again.

why did she announce this album with a full tracklist if the era wasn’t even ready to start? :deadbanana2:

I wonder if she’s actually trying to sign a 1 album record deal to distribute this album, or…..? Literally no one outside of her fans remembers this announcement

I think she forgot. Ma’am

my expectations for this rollout were in hell but come on :deadvision:

I really need some news. It's so frustrating to be clueless about what's happening. I have a feeling she's gonna drop the album altogether with some visuals and I'm ok with that.. but at least she should let us know when this is happening. lol

Also, couple of days ago they had listening sessions of the album.

Writers, her vocal coach and producers of the album. Also that's her house.

Does she even have a marketing team when it comes to music? :gaycat6: Who annouces the tracklist without even having a date or anything? If her team was smart they would tack one of the album songs on her upcoming movie soundtrack:coffee2:

This thread should be closed honestly. The album doesn't have a release date... It isn't coming anytime soon.

I totally forgot about this album :rip: and for what I saw from the comments here, there's nothing new on the horizon

Why did they announce this if there isn't even a date?

Lopez also insisted she doesn’t have a release date yet for her new album, “This Is Me… Now,” but said that she’s likely going to tour or book a Las Vegas residency in support of its release. “The album is done and we’re just prepping the best time to put it out and roll it out little by little and deciding how we want to do that,” Lopez said. “It’s such a special project because it’s sort of a culmination of this 20-year journey from one album to the next.”

According to Variety, there isn't a release date yet

A guy who I follow on twitter, who is a huge JLO stan, said that the album is coming on September 29th
