I'm still waiting for the Target variant, I think this is my fav following Amazon Exclusive but the original cover grew a lot on me, I hated it at first :rip:

She should re-issue Dance Again The Hits, but call it "Singles Collection" and add all the non-album songs. I hate how her GH doesn't even feature all of her singles. So annoying

The problem is Dance Again was released via Sony's Epic, and I doubt she'll work with them again.

The Amazon cover should’ve been the official one, or the wal-mart cover. those two are the most aesthetically pleasing. The original is still the worst one in my opinion

This is without a doubt her most cohesive album (and probably her strongest vocally too), but while revisiting Rebirth today it hit me that most of her albums are actually a lot more cohesive than people give them credit for.

I think what’s held her back in the past is that some of her vocals on those albums haven’t been as strong as TIM…N.

You know, she could have had a cute lil moment if she had featured Ben on Can't Get Enough...

You know I can't get enough

Ben: (I love that ****)
You know I can't get enough

JLo: (You love that ****)
You know I can't get enough

Ben: (Give me all that ****)
Can't get enough

But that's just me thinkin' aloud

Hopefully the positive reception from fans inspires her to do another album in a few years

If I were in charge of her career things would've played out like this

1999 - JL1 - ON THE 6

2001 - JL2 - J.LO

2003 - JL3 - THIS IS ME... THEN

2005 - JL4 - REBIRTH

2007 - JL5 - BRAVE

2009 - JL6 - COMO AMA UN MUJER

2011 - JL7 - LOVE?

2013 - JL8 - AKA (as originally planned)

2015 - JL9 - JWORLD (as originally planned)

2017 - JL10 - POR PRIMERA VEZ (they should've just released this. So weird how the hype it all up then just abandoned everything)

2019 - MARRY ME SOUNDTRACK

2021 - JL11 THE SCRAPPED SPANGLISH PROJECT

2023 - JL12 - THIS IS ME NOW (no year long delay)

The fact "Hooked on You" never received a release is CRIMINAL!! But the edit in that video is pitched.

Dance Again should've easily been her Fame Monster and sister album to Love including B sides from Love and some news tracks. Imagine a follow up album containing Hooked On You, Greatest Part Of Me, On The Radio featuring David Guetta, Story Of My Life, What I Call Love, Love And War, Keeper, This Cannot Be Love given it was 2012 throw in a Shakira or Nicki Minaj collab and it would've been chef's kiss.

As for getting into her 2010s output, I actually am too. I strayed away from her after the mess that was  I Luh Ya Papi, but she has some cute songs post-Love? album:

- Ain't Your Mama

- Live It Up (solo version with the a new verse to replace Pitbull)

- Us

- Amor Amor Amor

- Adrenalina (with Ricky Martin)

- Feel the Light

- Try Me (should have been a single released by Jason Derulo)

- Booty

- Chegaste

- Love Make the World Go Round

- In the Morning

- Dance Again

- Let It Be Me

- Cambio El Paso

Potential:

- Tens (needs to be edited though; a lot of unnecessary parts)

- Same Girl (original mix without French Montana, but needs to have the louder vocals like the ones used in the Halftime Remix; I think she re-recorded them)

I Luh Ya Papi is a guilty pleasure. I remember when it finally started to take off her team just dropped it naturally. Live It Up should've been included on the AKA album. Feel The Light is so corny but makes sense it was a part of a kids movie but she pushed that song harder then she did any of the singles for AKA. Try Me was actually suppose to be a single. They had a music video shot and everything then it randomly got scrapped for whatever reason. Instead of Love Make The World Go Round we should've had a proper collaboration with her and or Enrique Iglesias or Ricky Martin to secure her another hit in the 2010s. The stan in me would've loved Tens featuring Britney Spears, the cultural reset that would've been.

Same Girl and Girls should've remained solo and included on the album along with Charades. Never Satisfied, Emotions and Worry No More had no business seeing the light of day.

Not this being my first time hearing of this. Just heard the radio club remix edit. If that was released back in the day it would've easily been a fan favorite and another staple in her catalog.

The fact that harmless little Loubitons has been scrubbed off the earth is legitimate homophobia.

or do sister acts counterparts for each of her records

On The 6 = Block Party

JLo = JLovers, Jennifer Lopez

This Is Me ...Then = This Is Me ...Now

Rebirth = REJENERATION, Comeback, Metamorphosis, Recovery, JENESIS, Forever, Timeless, Eternity, Everlasting Eternal,

Brave = Lionheart

Como Ama Un Mujer = Por Primera Vez

Love = Passion, Adore, Amor, Cherish, Blossom

AKA = Diva, Glow (Glo), Supernova

The way that they completely butchered Everybody's Girl in it's final form when the demo is EVERYTHING. Never heard of Get On The Mic. Mouth 2 Mouth should've been a single the Latin cultural reset that would've been especially since Enrique and Jennifer were still at their prime. Them also paying Physical and Don't You Need Somebody dust by not making their collabs official singles are such a missed opportunity

Yeah I completely agree with you and this just goes to show that most people just hate on her just because. For example AKA is objectively a solid record from her. The only hiccups were Live It Up with Pitbull, Same Girl without French Montana, Girls the solo version and Charades not being included in the album but her allowing Never Satisified, Emotions and Worry No More to make the cut because other than that it's a really great record featuring some career highlights like First Love and Let It Be Me.

She can do a compilation of tracks that have been scrubbed scrapped or left unreleased that she's aware that we fans want like Frozen Moments, Loubitons, Hooked On You, On The Radio, This Cannot Be Love, Hurricane, No More Games For Love, Lookin Good, Breaking Me Down, I'll Go, Mirate, Recordándote, El, A Tu Lado  kind of what Mariah did with her Rarities. It'd also be a perfect excuse to include all of her droplets throughout the decade onto one project.

What?

I remember Hooked On You leaking back in the day but I assumed it was a LOVE? reject that she just didn’t bring with her when she switched labels at that time. I had no idea they were planning a GH album at that time!

This album is a grower.

Really loving it right now!

There’s only 3 songs I dislike. Even “Dear Ben Pt. II” that disappointed me (because I really love Part I), is now one of my favorites.

I’m genuinely baffled at the poor critical reception this had. At this point they just love to hate her, because this is a really good and cohesive album.

It would’ve been cool if she’d done a “complete B-sides” album for her 25th anniversary and re-issued the greatest hits (this time actually including all of her hits…).

Something like The Saturdays greatest hits or Girls Aloud’s Ten.
