Absolutely crazy how Pokemon S/V became the biggest opening for ANY NINTENDO GAME EVER.

The fact that Pokemon is still a phenomenon 25 years after its initial peak...

It's also probably the fastest selling first party game ever.

Also, it's obvious the world is HUNGRY for open world Pokemon games. And even though their games SUCK from a technical point of view, they never fail to make fun games. Scarlet and Violet is easily one of the best titles in the franchise.

 

The only issue is that people love the Pokémon IP itself, which can be separated from the games. 
 

In light of recent events, it would be a better analogy to say Taylor is the Pokémon IP and Ticketmaster is Nintendo/GameFreak. Swifties were pissed about what happened there, and Taylor addressed her displeasure with it. She will likely be much more involved next time she has tour tickets go on sale. 
 

If you look at other games like GoWR, the amount of effort and love put in is exponentially higher, and the sad fact of the matter is Pokémon has been delivering the same exact thing with newly introduced small features here and there for a decade now. The new games shouldn’t even have a triple A title given how they look and perform,  similar to any title assembled by a tiny team indie developer. PLA literally looked like an early PS2 game.

the games are fine, but i cannot disagree with people asking for better graphics and frame rates. this game needs a patch immediately.

 

if you focus on the story/characters, it’s a top tier game but yeah kinda hard to enjoy with the games lagging half the time.

 

anyway, the game deserves the success
