base talk More cursed: Gen Z or Millenials

So if you are born before 1997 you are. Millennial and if you are born anytime after 1997 you are apparently a gen z

 

so who has it worse between the two?

 

i low key think millenials have it worse and will have it worse in the future too because they are the generation losing high earning job opportunities because Baby boomers and Gen X do not want to retire. By the time gen x and baby boomers do retire those millenials will then be competing with an even more savvy and experienced batch of the older Zoomers who will out compete and out class them quickly for those higher paying jobs and higher ranking positions. Millenials will get skipped.

 

Also Millenials are the ones who will be paying for the retirement of baby boomers and gen x and they will be the ones who will experience the burden of having more older people than young (in the west) first so they’ll have to go through the trial and error phase first.

 

Finally, Millenials  came at point right when social changes were occurring and in many ways they spearheaded social change but they lost their youthful years fighting the good fight while Gen Z will be / are the first generation to reap some of the benefits of these social battles (like LGBTQ normalization in not only media but also society, a bit more equity and equality, diversity and representation being a bit more common place etc...).on the other hand Gen Z will probably be the generation that will have to spearhead and really push forward the climate crisis. But Millenials also by an large opened those discussions on a mainstream level first along with their older brethren the Gen X.

Everyone is in agreement that they are straight up the worst Gen but who has it harder in life? Baby boomers had a mostly free ride in life and still dare to complain. It’s the newer Gen who will suffer because of them! The millenials and Gen Zs quality of life is and will be severely destroyed because of the annoying boomers and Gen xers (sadly)

Can’t stand them. Always Taking up space in the office, straight complaining all day. Somebody is always out to get them, from making their morning coffee wrong, to taking their parking spot or “management is always setting them up so they never meet their deadlines”.

Millennials will soon inherit a lot of the boomers hoarded wealth and become the wealthiest generation of all time in the next 10-15 years. They’ve been more obedient when it comes to this for profit capitalist system full of disposable jobs that’ll soon disappear through technological advancements over time. Boomers high key hate millennials for it along with their more progressive politics, but they’ve honestly been the most productive and most disrespected generation... Gen Z is kinda fighting this system and doing more to demand a change. I think they’ll be burdened with this change, but not necessarily cursed. Generation alpha will probably be the most cursed, most socially inept generation.

Your not wrong.. I was born in 1991 and my life basically ******. I'm either too old to get work now bc the gen z took them all during my mid 20s.  But my mental health played a lot on that too, if my brain was normal and I wasn't autistic I coulda went to uni   but yeah gen z does get a lot more offers and I believe the boomers weren't much help either.

Both are very cursed, I just think millenials feel like they have it worst right now because we're going through our late 20's & early 30's and usually that's a very difficult period in life. Gen Z are currently teens and young adults at most and we all know we don't take ourselves very seriously in that age but I feel like they will struggle too once they start to grow up, it's the cycle of life

Gen z have it way worse mostly with how they were brought up inundated with technology and social media. I’d pick being a millenial any day over being Gen z.

I feel like gen Z are the most cursed because they have a chance to have some insufferable millennials as their parents in an age of increasingly judgmental internet culture where your every tweet is used against you for years and potential parents who want to record everything you do.

Millennials seem to be a lot like Boomers. Not in the way they act but mostly the outlook and way they were raised. They seemed to be confident in the future and had a good base to start (most likely because they were raised by boomers).

Gen Z does not have hope for the future. It’s labeled as this very progressive group yet many of us have given up caring about anything. We were raised in less stable homes than most millennials (because we have Gen X parents). Like Gen X post 9/11 culture was a much most restrictive time much like the 80s when stranger danger first blew up. I’d say Gen Z will be kind of a mess like Gen X.

I'm way more worried about Gen Z.

I had a smart phone and social media in high school and I’m a millenial lol. 
 

And millennials literally wrote the play book for normalizing mental health. They called us cry babies. 
 

But I guess younger Gen Z is more cursed since they will be dealing more with the effects of global warming than some of us? But then again who wants to deal with that while elderly so we may be cursed to be elderly dealing with terrible weather conditions and food shortage
