Brandy & Rita Ora Among 7 Cast In ‘Descendants’ Sequel ‘The Pocketwatch’ At Disney+
 

Cinderella star Brandy and Rita Ora (Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight) have joined the cast of The Pocketwatch (working title), a music- and dance-filled original movie sequel to the megahit Descendants franchise.

 

Brandy will return to the role of Cinderella, which she first played in Walt Disney Television’s iconic 1997 version of Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Ora will portray the villainous Queen of Hearts.

 

Also joining the cast are Malia Baker (The Babysitter’s Club), Ruby Rose Turner (Disney’s Coop and Cami Ask the World), Morgan Dudley (Jagged Little Pill on Broadway) and Joshua Colley (Senior Year). Additionally, Melanie Paxson (Dealbreakers) will reprise her role as Fairy Godmother from the previous Descendants movies.

well clearly it’s Rita herself. nobody continues to book the gigs she does for 10 years after changing labels burning bridges etc. it’s her own personal connections

whether it’s her or her manager, I need their career advice because it’s seriously impressive given the factors you outlined! I feel like Rita must be insanely charismatic in real life and good at networking.

Rita is signed from 10+ years with Sarah Stennett's First Access Entertainment, the company who managed Jessie J during Who You Are era, Iggy during New Classic era, Ellie's first, second and third album cycles, Zayn on his debut era, Bebe's debut... Her sister is her co-manager alongside Sarah and they never gave up on her bc she eventually became profitable on fashion, TV, brands, etc, and from what is looking like, she will expand her acting gigs from now on.

i wonder if that’s why all the others left - because they were putting their efforts into Rita. Iggy and Rita are not on friendly terms for some reason but most of the others have worked together
