I guess she's trying to pull the religious (since she's lost them) with When I Get There.

Edit: Oh wow, I think that's the first time she cracked up singing a song

The way she literally sold the most physical copies, but end up being the runner up.

P!nk can at least score a #1 on ATRL‘s Most Popular Topics of the Week. Even if the unnecessary drama is included. She still has those guys pressed.:clap3::clap3::clap3:

tbh I can see WIGT being a smash if she keeps shoving it down our throats

I mean she has to decide if WIGT or TRUSTFALL is actually the 2nd single.... It's like her performing Wild Hearts at the Grammys (great choice, but random)

Posted

WIGT doesn't strike me as commercial I don't think it would do well as a single

Commercial or not, it seems she really loves When I Get There.

And please, if you don't like the song, don't say something disrespectful. It is the song she pays tribute to his dad.

Even when I'm feeling like she's lost her vision or "spark" (maybe that's putting it too harshly but you know what I mean), and don't feel her music as cohesive, inspired-inspiring as it once used to be, or I'm being frustrated with her team's decisions all the time, watching her just talk is still such a joy. I love her sense of humor, her moments of reflection so much. It reminds me why I fell in love with her persona and music in the first place.

Today Show was great. They really wanted to make her cry with the Jim Moore segment and that video, huh? :skull: Didn't happen, but she got lost in her thoughs just for a moment - right after she's said that she hopes they're someplace awesome.

Colbert was great. He's my favorite of the talk show hosts and I thought they'd be a great match with Pink who is also so eloquent. Seems like he didn't prepare as much or was as engaged as he was with e.g. Andrew Garfield or others, but the interview went well overall. Kind of a bummer that it was a bit short. Her performance was gorgeous.

Many fans said the similar opinion, as a fan who followed her over 20 years, my personal opinion is it's not she lost the "spark" or wrote less inspiring lyrics, she's just simply a different person now. We fell for her as an angry teenager, full of rage and fire, full of pain and heartbreaks, but she's not that teenager anymore. She grew, she's a mom now, she loves her kids with her whole heart and obviously put them as first priority. I believe when she makes music, the first thought came to mind will be "Do I want Wilow and Jamo listen to this?", and that's exactly the reason that makes her music less anger and less ...fun? or sassy? Idk.

Music made from heartbreaks and pain will create a strong connection, becos it's a shot through the heart, it ease our pain to know that we are not alone, we are not the only one who felt this way. I can't thank her enough for making those heartbreaking songs, Runaway (NOT THE NEW ONE) will forever be my all time top favorite, becos it simply describe my exact teenage life. However, I'm also thankful for her recent music, they comforts me in a different way, for example Trustfall, it's like a warm light, reminds me there's always hope, there's always something worth falling for. Or Happy, even tho it's a sad song, but it's very comforting, every time I heard the line"but I don't wanna be this way forever, keep telling myself that I'll get better", it gives me goosebumps.

Maybe I'm just a blind stan, but these are just my humble opinions. :heart2:

I'm glad she changed stylists, she's never looked better in terms of clothes. Her Colbert suit! Gorgeous.

Trustfall left Bubbling Under Hot 100 and NGNDA The Hot 100 this week(Feb. 10-16).

Trustfall-Turbulence double punch. I could just listen to these two tracks.

I do believe that music can come from a happy place as well and it isn't always just full on rage. GTPS, RYG, etc are really great fun tracks for example. Beyoncé's Renaissance is a cohesive work of art without it being focused on rage, heartbreak or any of those things.

That being said, I know her priorities lie elsewhere - but she still has that flame in her when you hear her talk about the state of the world we live in. Or what the COVID outbreak did to her and her family personally. Or her father passing away. There are a lot of demons and suitcases to unpack, a lot of topics to uncover and pour passion into. I understand that some things she's still in the process of unpacking (her dad passing) so I'm not going to bash her for that, but she does seem to lack the edge to untackle others. What About Us is a great counter-example of this: it's a gorgeous song that was relevant enough and sounded amazing enough so people connected with it. Trustfall, the song is maybe a continuation of that.

The album itself, while has some cool tracks, lacks a similar vision - both sonically and topically. It's all over the place and while I'm sure there are examples where this works, it just didn't land. Somehow it feels like she's just putting out an album to tour, she didn't even write half of it (and that's why I have a hard time understanding why she says that it's her best work, but oh well). I don't even know why she released H2BH.

Is it just me, or does Last Call have the feel-good vibe of Better Life.

They both make me smile. They give me this euphoric feeling inside me.
