Do people in their 20s understand that 30 is just around the corner?

Its always funny to me seeing people in their 20s, specially late 20s calling 30-somethings old. Im like arent you 27? You are almost 30. Even if you were like 23, you are only 7 years away from 30, that time flies. Are they just deluding themselves into thinking their 20s will last forever?

I believe if you graduated kindergarten then you would know that 30 comes after 29. :cm:

Eh. I don’t take the online discourse of 30 being old seriously anymore. No one in real life behaves or speaks that way, it’s just the way some people behave on social media :michael:

People who lack real life experiences will make "being young" their whole personality and hang onto it for dear life :lmao:

I don't know anyone who acts like this :rip:

Exactly lol have one conversation w someone in the real world and you’d realize most people at 30 are barely feeling like adults let alone old

30 year olds are just 20 year olds with more money and higher standards

Which 23 year old and/or 27 year old hurt you today, sis?

You're pushing 30, threads like these aren't a good look.

Why? Because of their age?

I’ve never heard anyone really complain about 30 irl outside of very light jokes, like the other member said.

I think that if a person is too scared to be 30 is a complete loser with no purpose in life, like if you are really scared of aging you literally have no reason to be in this planet since you are basically fighting basic nature.

Getting old is a privilege not everyone has, it should be celebrated and not shamed.

I'm 22 and I'm thinking of it every week, life is passing so fast. Men in their 30s are hot btw.

ANYWAYS,

Can I stay in my 30s? I look so cute right now :gaycat1:

30 hasn't been "old" to me since like Freshman year of College. And honestly, the 30's feel like they **** on the 20's anyway. I'm 26 and my BF is 35 with a house and career. The 30's seem like pretty good years if you prepared well for them but at the same time your still young enough to right your wrongs and start anew if you need to.

Nothing old whatsoever about your 30's.

Only when I reach 30 will 30s be the new 20s, until then y'all are old!

Having recently turned 30, it's pretty great really. Less time for friends and frivolity I'd say but overall better. 20s is such a non-stop hustle.

This tbh. I've looked my best in my 30s. It also helps that my Black ass still looks 25 despite being in my mid 30s.

I'm being sarcastic. I guess I should have added an /s, because I remember the OP had made another specific threads about 30s :dies:

Why do gay MEN care about being 30? In society the value of a man increases with age. Men under 30 are always seen as expendable, not as respected, and not taken as seriously. For women it’s the opposite as they’re seen as expendable the older they get.

Seriously. Getting older is a blessing. People are dying and you’re worried about turning 30.

This. It’s very cringe.

Anyways I’m 26 and excited to be in my 30s

I used to think 30 was super old but idk in the age of social media, I see people in their 30s partying and in bars every weekend like someone in their early 20s. I think what is considered "old" is diff these days due to social media.

I thought we collectively decided that the COVID years didn't count... so if you're 29 now you're really 27 still :gaycatina1:

30's is your 20's but more financially stable and overall more freedom. You'd be surprised how many people at the bars/social settings are in their 30's instead of their 20's. Most people you see travelling are usually in their 30s. People have this false idea of what 20 vs 30 is because of all the super young influencers (usually 17+) that got rich quick and flaunt their lifestyle.

Also the "beauty peak" being in your 20's is false. You don't age that much unless you treat yourself wrong.

No one under 50 is old.

That's not fair. People literally have Gerontophobia.

Gerontophobia is fear of being elderly. Like 70.

30, 40 even 50 is not elderly yet.

That’s pure ageism. Fed by American culture and its unfortunate influence in the media.

Teens and people in their early 20s that fear being 30 are just useless idiots with no purpose in life.

People who are successful and know what they want anticipate aging to reach goals and milestones.
