Spotify has always supported MASSIVE, unprecendented music events with creative marketing. It's a win-win so I don't see the problem :celestial5:

As if Drake wasn't and isn't still dragged across ATRL for this tactic

Here come the Swifties convincing themselves that this isn't incredibly desperate :rip: and if any other artist did this, you would agree

This exactly. :lmao:

Drake being on the cover of ‘Independent Ladies’ and having “God’s Plan” play after Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bug-A-Boo” will always SEND me.

:rip:

OT:

Swift is not a part of my algorithm, and never has been, and I saw this ad. pop up following me listening to Marvin Gaye. An absolute KI

i like Taylor and this album but to deny that the Spotify push is massive would be lying.

i'd literally listen to songs in a different genre and era like 80's music (which i listen to a lot) and Midnight tracks would just pop up. :dies:

this is the best and most successful album of the decade so Taylor should payola double for the album to dominate Spotify :giraffe:

She broke the most streamed debut day record and did over 1.5 million in the first week in the US, im failing to see what she has to be desperate? I’m unsure what artist doesn’t want more people to hear their hard work?

In the past half month she has completely finished the others . Anyway, if it's a good album, people will listen to it if it's bad, it'll be counterproductive

Girl her spotify payola for midnights is less than other pop girls lead single, relax

This is a Spotify feature. I’ve gotten similar pop ups with irrelevant or not globally known artists.

Yeah I had to pop up for me today too :deadbanana2:its a bit too much tbh lol

It's more Spotify's doing.  If you had a business and a product was doing well, you would keep pushing that product to make more profits.  They always do that with the current hottest artists.  It's a win-win situation.

Also not sure why we're attacking Taylor personally here.  She has a marketing team that handles these things for her lmao.

Not with that avi :toofunny2: :bibliahh:

This isn't exclusive to Taylor though? I've got the same popup for other pop girls before, even the smaller artists :skull:

It's a Spotify feature where they're pushing what's popular, its similar to how Billie Eilish's music used to come on every few songs when you used to listen to music on shuffle, back when she used to be popular.

ikr... despite destroying left right and center for over two years now, the playlisting is still tragic af since she refuses to send checks their way...

Taylor continues to prove the only likeable thing about her is sale numbers.

Thanks for liking her sales number.

We also stan her because she is so successful not because we actually enjoy the music. Welcome to the team.

at least people listen to her album

i think this is okay compared to reducing your albums or songs to cents. etc

Every time I open the YouTube App on my phone I get some video to do the Anti-Hero challenge too :ahh:

Anti-Hero has been falling off of the top spot for the past few days so this seems like a very timely, calculated push to boost her numbers.

Not sure if it'll work, considering they're throwing EVERYTHING at the wall and even shoving her down rap/r&b fans' throats :dies: How desperate

It literally isn’t though. The Spotify exposure was very middle of the road compared to every other blockbuster album. Bad Bunny and Drake had their albums available for free to stream at first, and are you forgetting when Drake took over every playlist? :rip:

Of course the album has a push, it’s quite literally the biggest debut of all time on Spotify by the biggest artist in the world. Why wouldn’t they promote her? But the push is nothing special, not even close to top 10 biggest of all time. Even Drake’s new project has more of a push. She didn’t even get her massive #1 smash hit Anti-Hero back at the top of TTH until this week where the longevity was obvious, and it was previously #4.

The most popular songs on Spotify currently showing up in your autoplay isn’t a push, it’s just how the algorithm works :deadbanana: especially if you like her/the album like you claim, ofc they will pop up. What kind of logic is this even lmao
