This is what this man said:

As one example, Kanye West complained that “Chris Brown’s career is basically over and you have Rihanna and everyone took her side. She must have done something to antagonise or merit what happened to her. Obviously.”

So…

Ya’ll take that how you wish.

This way none of these statements are true :skull: Chris’ career has been very successful after the assault, EVERYONE called Rih a sl*t and wh*re and made fun of the incident the following years AND she didn’t do anything to deserve it

This. This man gets worse and worse, at this point he's just sabotaging himself because there's no way one would say all these things out loud otherwise.

Kanye is incredibly disgusting for this.

That said, Rihanna is doing the exact same thing to Amber Heard by openly supporting Johnny Depp.

Oh god, he needs to be locked up finally :biblio:

People need to stop giving this man a platform to talk about all of this disgusting bs.

Exactly.

2009 was a ruthless year to be a Rihanna fan.

- She was demeaned, denounced and made fun of across the entire internet.

- Parodies were made regarding her assault.

- Twitter/FB/Vine were in constant debates regarding her assault, many people of whom didn’t believe her and blamed her for what happened to her.

Fast forward to 2022, and people still make fun of her abuse and still use that infamous photo to discredit her.

This woman doesn’t owe anybody f*cking anything which is why I could care less about the JDxSF situation.

I think we need to be mindful about how we go about topics like this. I'm disappointed with Rihanna's choice to include Johnny in her show but this almost comes across as "She should know better!" and she should but trauma is very complicated and nuanced. No excuses but it's not as simple as black and white. Mariah "Believe All Women" Carey saying "We love Luke" after her remix with Dr Luke went #1. Gaga still supporting Richy, not firing him, leaving cute emojis on his posts while there's an ongoing investigation about the sexual assault allegations against him is also not the best look.

It's astonishing how this vile man was allowed to have a 2nd career revival last year while everyone in the industry did their best to hide information like this and the rest of the TMZ interview. His deplatforming has been overdue for years now. Glad it's finally hapenning.

Men aren’t and never will be held and found accountable, unless the case is just too profound to ignore ie. Harvey Weinstein etc.

It just won’t happen.

Even with West losing all these deals, his fans will still be out there, supporting him.

That is not the case and it’s awful to even insinuate that.

What on earth, Pop?

How is it not the case, though? Johnny Depp is a woman beater and by platforming him she is actively supporting an abuser.

Chris hardly had any of his career hindered by the incident. He still was able to get a fair share of hits.

He is even the prime example of canceling not working since the amount of sexual harrasement, violent and other incidents, claims and allegations attached to his name are a very long list ever since that incident.

Overall instead of working harder and trying to impress people with his talents and any other thing, he basically threw in the towel and became a one-trick pony artistically and as an entertainer.

I mean did everyone forget Chris returned with a song called 'I Can Transform Ya' after everything, which more or less mocked everything message wise

Sorry, but no. Almost every celebrity in this industry, male or female, is tied to an abuser - sometimes willingly, sometimes unwillingly. Hollywood normalizes abuse, and the women who supported #MeToo just to turn around and defend their favorite men when they were called out is the precise reason why the movement failed apart. These are the richest and most connected people in the world. They choose year after year to engage in this industry and to reify its practices. They don’t get to attribute their obvious hypocrisy to “trauma”. This happens because abuse is an industry norm - and as much as specific celebrities may have suffered from their specific encounters with abuse, they aren’t willing to sacrifice their status, fame, or wealth to fully tear this **** apart and hold their favorite abusive industry comrades accountable.

I never denied that. My comment was in response to a member who is acting like Rihanna is the only one that supports abuser when our fave along with all of our faves support known abusers. If you read my comment again you'll also see that I said there are no excuses but it's still a very nuanced topic. They all should be held accountable not just Rihanna.

It’s an obvious reply in any domestic case, and another obvious reply nothing should cause this type of reaction unless it’s self defense.

Why do they cover for him and edit out stuff??
Dont they even Twist stuff most of the times, so that they can appear more appealing and get clout??

For all this talk about the “Hollywood power structure” being out to get him allegedly, they sure did a good job at protecting him all these years. All this stuff coming out is because of Kanye running his own mouth, so now he’s being exposed further
