Is this the first time the UN has voted on this? I feel like I hear this every couple of years. Does Cuba not also have any relations with China? one would think so.

I think the majority of the world (including people in the US and Israel) would agree that the blockade of Cuba is beyond stupid

When are we going to admit that the UN has been pretty damn irrelevant for international politics since the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait 

 

it's good that the entire world is showing the US that it's Cuba policy is stupid and outdated and causing much more harm than good but it's not like the US is going to change anything and the UN certainly doesn't have the power to force them to

Cuba is one of the handful of countries that actually support the Russia actions in Ukraine. Surprised Ukraine just abstained.

The UN and other countries should have no say on if/when the US ends their blockade.  It's the US decision to make.

As if american foreign policies are centered on moral values, please. 

 

The US embargo on Cuba is a crime against humanity and the 42% of americans that support it are complicit in maintaining the status quo of an imperalist nation.
