Twitter was in process to lay off 25% of the company BEFORE Elon. Elon did another 25%, cutting unnecessary departments. This will easily save them around $1.4 billion quarterly

It's business 101, they will hire new employees next year for new, efficient, and needed positions. When Elon does turn Twitter around eventually, haters (and especially everyone at ATRL) will hate him even more 

 

Twitter is in the pits (was losing $4 million A DAY before Elon) so the company can only go up from here. An easy win for Elon

Huh? He’s firing engineers based mainly on the number of lines of code they’ve written. As a computer scientist, this is the most idiotic value function for people who produce code imaginable. For instance, if we grade engineers solely on the number of lines of code they write, then you are awarded for writing:

def is_even(num: int) -> bool:
	if num == 0:
		return True
	if num == 1:
		return False
	if num == 2:
		return True
	if num == 3:
		return False
	if num == 4:
		return True
	...

whereas you get penalized for writing:

def is_even(num: int) -> bool:
	return num % 2 == 0

 

Elon doesn’t know what he’s doing at all and Twitter is likely going to go down in flames for it. Which, honeslty, I’m excited to watch at this point.

Half of the company is being laid off, of course that is going to include many gay people, who are heavily represented in the Twitter staff. 

 

At any rate, Twitter is one of the worst scourges on society in the past 20 years. The faster it goes down in flames, the better for humanity.
