Almodusa Posted October 30, 2022 Share Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) Announced by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) in November 2021, the Children's and Family Emmy Awards are a result of ever-growing children's content in recent years. The first ceremony occurred on December 11th at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles. Nominations were announced on November 1st. This year's eligibility period ran January 1st, 2021 - May 31st, 2022. LeVar Burton was announced to be the first Lifetime Achievement honoree. The Mysterious Benedict Society and Sneakerella lead the nominations with 11 each. Netflix’s Heartstopper was the biggest winner with 5 wins. The Daytime also moved Game Shows to Primetime (Mayim Bialik would be competing against RuPaul for hosting now) as well so they’ve essentially only got Soaps & Talk Shows competing now.
