Zoomer Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 She has been since 1989. 16 years in the industry and she’d still easily STOMP on any/every one. Many came and went while she still sits at the top. The best part is she still has a lot more to offer.
LosingHimWasBlue Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I prefer The Music Industry instead Queen of Pop.

KatyPrismSpirit Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Idk if she surpassed Madge yet but she is definitely extremely close.
FightForTanas Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Let's see if people will still be singing her songs in 30 years like they are Madonna's.

Madonna fell off after her 11th album at age 50 and Taylor is still 32 with her 10th album. I dont see her falling off for at least 5 more albums. Truly the OG queen. The only Madonna records she should break is achieving 3 more #1 hits on the Hot 100 (Madonna has 12) and break Madonnas record for highest grossing tour of all time (Sweet & Sticky Tour $430M) which will both be easy feats for taylor to achieve judging by how young she still is

Nick_317 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 OTHs really have NOTHING left to drag her and now it's 3o YeArs lAtER

Madonna's music is still played daily on the radio in adult contemporary stations all around the US. Everyone knows her songs, well at least the classics. Will they be playing taylor's music in 30 years? We shall see.

Not that she could, with how male-oriented and dominated the music industry used to be if anything, it's because of her that these girls are winning so much rn 4 minutes ago, KatyPrismSpirit said: Madonna doesnt even have one album with more than 500M streams nice try In her defense, she started several decades before streaming existed (just read she debuted 1 year before the internet was invented ) +her team was pretty bad streaming-wise, didn't even have all her vids on YT ot: They are like IExplorer we been knew for some time now but yea, I rly do prefer another title for some of these pop girls since they do deserve their own thing
Taylena Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Queen of Pop is too reductive for Taylor at this point. We shall keep calling her The Music Industry!

liam13 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I, like others, prefer "The Music Industry" than QoP. One sounds impactful and one sounds unserious.
TheRealGâteau Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Oh, Jesus... "But Madonna didn't chart 6-7 albums every week", "But Madonna doesn't have an album with 500+m streams" Is that actual ignorance or trolling? Why are we comparing two completely different ways of music consumption and market logics? Madonna SOLD millions of records worldwide. In dimensions Taylor could only dream of. No one outside of this forum seriously regards to Taylor Swift as the Queen of Pop (and never will) other than maybe a few heartbroken pre-pubescent white US-American girls and gays.

The fact that you cant have a single opinion on here other than yass, Queen of the world, ThE mUziC inDUstry or you will be labeled a hater.

Name one Madonna song people actually sing in 2022 beside like Like a Virgin. Let make it easy and try to find one Madonna song that people actually use for singing shows like The Voice or Idol etc.
