James_XL Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 An SG Lewis produced bop for the gays would be a huge risk not this. This was the safest choice for her. That said I really can't wait to listen to her voice nowadays in a what seems to be a huge emotional ballad.
Abracadabra Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I don’t really get the complaining about her coming back with a ballad considering Russian Roulette was a lead single and is one of the best songs of her career…

With the biggest name in music Beyonce who released a phenomenal body of work to coincide with it and it went absolutely nowhere. Also led by a ballad. To try and pretend this isn't a risk is farfetched. The best thing say and the best way to go about it is just hoping for the best and remaining optimistic. 6 minutes ago, MrLovett said: Rihanna’s new song "Lift Me Up" was written as a tribute to the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman by Tems, Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler. I personally know no way am getting disappointed with this. Rihanna and tems
Relampago. Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 The meltdowns and essays over “hmmm” The queen really is back! Whatever, Towards the Sun is lowkey one of her best songs and it was a mid tempo for a much less moving topic for a less moving movie. I’m positive the lead for R9 will be a p*ssy popping bop so I’m really not bothered. Or maybe R9 doesn’t exist and never will. I’m just happy to see this b**** back!

ichabe Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 You can have a banger to commemorate someone, is it?
Mr. Yoso Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Ballad? Hopefully this will not flop like Gaga's Hold my hand

RockStarShit101 Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 the meltdowns over a few seconds of barely a teaser imagine the actual chaos when the song gets released
jezebelvictoria Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I really wanted her comeback single to be a lead to her album.
KatyPrismSpirit Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I CANT WAIT FOR THIS LIFT MY SOUL RIH
Flower Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 It's a ballad??? I loved her other film power ballads like Sledgehammer and Towards the Sun but I hope it is nothing like them. I hope it is more like Diamonds Even still I don't like power ballad for such big come back and for a film even though BP2 is probably gonna be huge, unless this is another Hello or Easy on Me moment. I just hope the hype isn't going to be wasted. One bad move from this era will tarnish the chance if she can become a legend or not she needs to gain momentum from this and not lose any.
Fruity Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Weird ass choice for her comeback. Not really into the vibe from this.
Trent W Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I think she wants to kill the hype and slowly build back up Cause yeah this is really not an ideal comeback scenario. But well hope the track is good. Her ballads are either extremely good or just okay.
jdanton2 Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 i like ballads so i am here for it . Love On The Brain was a ballad and one of Rihanna's best songs.
ChrisTheLoner Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Just saw this on twitter SHE'S COMING FINALLY
scenekiller Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 (edited) Not some of yall asking if Sia wrote it just because it might be a ballad, it is not still 2012 Edited October 26, 2022 by scenekiller
