This is a terrible song. Badly sung and just a pain. i gave it a quarter listen on Spotify and could not make it past that quarter mark. 6 years and i've moved on to Dua and Ava...

The song is actually so beautiful, ethereal and mesmerizing. I’m not even exaggerating as a stan, but her vocals are so rich and beautiful throughout the track and the production is like an evolved sound of ANTi. It’s actually such a good song. I don’t understand the lukewarm reception to it by fans.

Not saying this will be a hit, cause I don’t think it will be unless it pulls a Shallow with the movie moment it’s in, but this.

I remember people dragging Diamonds cause it debuted behind Die Young, only for Diamonds to end up blocking DY at #2 :ahh:

Rih has never debuted big but her hits always ended up getting steam and being propelled naturally. The Navy never did any strange shenanigans to get things to #1. Rih just always ended up winning in the end with organic demand, we’ll see if this song ends up being that.

Tea! 14 organic #1s which is okay, not everyone has that :jonnycat:

Her voice is so soothing. This song is a total ear worm. I haven't stopped singing it since it dropped yesterday.

The other thing is that there’s no hit ballad rn. The lane is wide open tbh. Easy on Me was an enormous hit last fall

It’s strange because the reception to “EOM” was mixed as well. Many people loved it and others thought it was “boring”, “generic” and “stale”.

I was just reading through the thread on Pulse and UKMix.

The only difference is that “EOM” was a smash hit. Naturally though considering it was her lead single and first in 5 years. Also, “EOM” had a wavering vocal performance and was slightly more catchy in the chorus.

It really is. Simple and effective.

This is doing disastrous numbers considering the amount of hype there was over the years for Rihanna’s comeback to music.

I guess no Drake means no hit.

She also has the instrumental. Next week the BSO drop, and the other the movie.

Its doing amazing.

After a lot of listens. Im so happy that she returned with a song like that. Simple, showing her new mature voice and giving us something different.

Its so much better than I could ever imagine

Pay no mind to the Fadga stan. :rip: Rihanna’s solo soundtrack song is logging multiple weeks in the Top 40.

Given that it's a ballad it's likely gonna fall hard in the next days due to Halloween :gaycat6:

the movie release in like 10 days (and airplay) should make it bounce back however
