ontherocks Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 ddd Rihanna fans won't like this, but I wish it was more restrained. I feel like she's oversinging it a bit, but regardless, I like the song.
Icarus Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Mess, the vocals aren’t pleasant on the ears I like the harp

SimpleKindofLife Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 This is simple and beautifully sung how could you not at least enjoy it a little bit? Maybe I’ve been just dying to hear her voice on something but I’m loving this.

They hated Work. This woman has been polarizing her entire career, and this is nothing new. Say what you will about the song, but I think it did what it needed to for her return: It shows that her voice has matured, she's still artistically focused, and she hasn't abandoned music the way everyone thought. She was never going to please everyone. I love it though. Amen!
ImsoLOUD Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Imagine downplaying the impact of Black Panther just because X- Regardless if it’s a visionary masterpiece to you, you alone could never speak for the impact it has had, specifically on Marvel fans/black people.

popmusic Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 It's projected at 8.2 - 8.4m unfiltered streams in the first day. How many filltered streams she can get? 7.5m? I don't believe people plays that multiple times so Spotify won't remove a lot.
I. AX Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 If she tops Spotify and YouTube, can she compete for the 1?
Misguided Ghost Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 I think it's hard to expect "Work 2.0" when this song is written for the movie specifically and in honour of late actor. The song is beautiful and I love how Rihanna sounds here. The time will come for her to serve bangers when her own solo music drops.

LanaXtinaFan Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 She definitely should have released her lead single prior to this… because this being advertised as a Rihanna comeback song is not the tea.

Sharamee6 Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Love the song, very sweet.. but Rihanna really can't sing, her voice is so one-dimensional and monotone ?
qurl Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 i’m disappointed to say the least. it’s a nice song but it doesn’t do anything for me, can’t see myself returning to this as it isn’t as melodic as her other ballads like stay or take a bow. i didn’t need an explicit banger but i needed something other than this, hope the lead/album campaign is coming soon to capitalize on what momentum she’s currently expending with this song
CosTaSsSs Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 It's a beautiful song but I really hoped she was gonna release a single from a new album, and not a soundtrack. lol
Relampago. Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 This song has grown on me a lot since last night. It’s so beautiful. This song just confirms something I’ve always known, no artist can match Rih’s tone and ability to convey such emotion through song. Honestly I’m so glad she came back like this. Not for her, not for another hit, but to show her growth while shining the spotlight on someone who is missed by thousands.
Armani? Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 My local Urban AC station has played this twice in the past 30 minutes
