Yeah I don't know about that... Especially since most of them are not in English and are upbeat tracks, so it'd be a weird comparison.

As for her ballads, she probably has the best out of her peers. Think about it, songs like Cold Case Love, Diamonds, Stay, Firebomb and Love on the Brain are all very strong, but I guess I'd get it if you just don't enjoy ballads like that

How would that be an odd comparison?

This isn’t about anything being better than her peers. I simply just don’t think she’s the most compelling singer for the ballads on the soundtrack. That’s it.

See now you're clarifying that you're talking about the ballads on the soundtrack specifically. At first you didn't which made me think you were talking about her ballads in general, hence my answer.

As for why it'd be odd, Born Again Vs Coming Back For You or Limoncello or Anya Mmri for instance don't make sense. It's simply about preference at this point

That one user desperately trying to derail this thread when he/she/they/it could make a thread for the other singers songs/ballads that they love so much. :rip:

OT: I am happy to see the movie beginning to take effect. I still wish LMU was used in a different scene. I will wait until more people here have seen it, before I say which one.

Records do not have to have similar tempos to be comparable.

Yes, that’s what an opinion is.

It’s not that serious. I posted what I thought, which is what this forum and thread is for.

This thread is about the song Lift Me Up by Rihanna. You were discussing other sOngS yOu lIKE bETtEr, which you could easily do in threads for those songs (you could create one). No one asked which songs you liked better, and no one in this thread cares.

It’s a forum. Any user can post whatever opinion they may have.

The way you are popping your knuckles out of place to respond back so hastily is hilarious.

Popping my knuckles? Where do y'all get such corny material from? :rip:

I'll leave it to the mods to clarify what "off topic" means for you.

OT: France is truly ready for R9, she should give them some type of exclusive.

To be quite honest, there are numerous tracks on the soundtrack that are better than her two songs.

I would’ve personally loved to hear her on “Coming Back For You” instead. Rihanna isn’t the most compelling ballad singer. That’s my opinion.

Born Again maybe, but LMU stomps on mostly everything. If Rihanna was on an English version of No Digas Mi Nombre, that's giving magnum opus though

It's doing so incredibly good on iTunes... It's still #1 in 10 countries... including the UK
