I guess it's safe to say that nobody except her fans (little of which is left) really cares for ellie's albums anymore.

 

They just care for her singles because her single recurrent streams are great and Miracle is smashing. Halcyon album track recurrent streams are great tho so that's an exception.

 

And that's ok. Ellie is already 14 years in her career. Some artists don't even have that.

 

Was the commerical success of HTH bad? Yes it was bad, noone said it wasn't but at least the album + its visuals were immaculate & she has a smash atm.

 

She made it past 4 successful eras and that's already very long (BB included cause of EG.0).

The album would've been received so much better if she removed love goes on, how long, waiting for it and replaced it with tastes like you, better man/temptation + miracle

Should have been the closer instead of How Repugnant. And/or Temptation, since they all touch on a similar idea, but the other two far more gorgeously.

While this album release was definitely messed up by her label, Ellie also doesn't give anything about promoting it apparently. I miss the days of Lights when she would do acoustic versions on local radio shows. If you lost your fanbase, start rebuilding by putting the music out there! (I know things have changed since 2010, but it still feels so half assed by her. I suppose it's hard to care when you're as rich as she is.)

 

It's actually quite sad for a pop girl with her discography (there's not a single bad main album there!) to have such a small dedicated stan base.

Ellie's success has been forever damaged by the hiatus she took after Delirium. It's sad but it happened to many artists before her and will happen to many after her. Not to mention that she's never had a solid fanbase, so she basically lost any kind of interest in her. However, she's an artist that relies on the GP. This is something good for her as all she'd need is to get her **** together, leave that useless label and plan a good promo campaign for any future single or album. If the song clicks with the GP after promoting it, then she will have success. If not, just move on. The thing is that they are not even trying it this time around.
