Bentley Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 In the name of life yet wasting a can of tomato soup!
Protocol Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 ?????? I'm sorry but WHAT is the correlation between a painting and fossil fuels??? It's a museum not a coal factory. Worms for brains

BlackStar_93 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Failing to see how vandalizing a treasured and historic piece of art makes a statement about fossil fuels. What a load of clowns, they'll for sure go to court for this as it's trespass and criminal damage. Hope it's worth your 5 seconds of fame.
saucy Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 People are more outraged about a protected painting being vandalised than the planet being destroyed by big companies....
FOCK Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 This is one of the best things that an artist could hope for to happen with their work after they’re gone, that their art would be used as vehicle for protest, change. That said, art has been co-opted by the upperclass. If you were to put your mind into that of an artist like Van Gogh & the significance we assign the material aside, I’d argue he’d be proud. Art is protest.
CathyBees Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 I don't get how vandalizing an art piece is going to achieve anything

No, people are pondering what is the connection between vandalizing a historical piece of art and the planet being destroyed by big companies, and how does this stunt help the cause

As though there is any “meaningful cause” that is being represented through those in power. The leader of the supposedly “environmentally conscious party” has ordered more drilling for oil than his predecessor and has brokered deals with fossil fuel barons that will imperil our planet faster. Any hope of environmental progress was immediately dashed the moment that Joe Biden became the democrats’ nominee for president. Along with improvements to our disastrous healthcare and everything else.

Jotham Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I think this TikTok perfectly encapsulates my thoughts on this:

The only discussion they generated is people literally mocking them. No one is talking about climate change
