I had no idea the EMAs had a BIGGEST FANS category. The bloodbath from the obsessed, success-driven portions of the nominated fanbases 

 

Some further observations: 

 

- Love to see Bad Bunny and ROSALÍA getting nominations for BEST SONG

- Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift feel like odd picks for BEST ARTIST, especially over Bad Bunny and Doja Cat, who genuinely dominated the year.

- BEST COLLABORATION has some pretty tragic selections. I'd gladly switch the mediocre "STAYING ALIVE" and "Sweetest Pie" for "LA FAMA" and "Bam Bam"

- I was already expecting few nominations for The Weeknd this year, but I'm beyond delighted he was recognized for BEST LIVE. The "After Hours Til Dawn" tour was such a delight to follow! Hard for him to win with Styles and Gaga in the mix, though, given their fanbases.

- Oh wow...BEST R&B only featuring R&B artists for once? And Doja in BEST POP? I'm impressed!

- BEST LONGFORM VIDEO and VIDEO FOR GOOD remain bizarre in their nominations and qualifications.
