this mag loses credibility everyday. no Rhythm Nation but Control? :rip:

lol yea, I was confused at that myself. Control, as great as it is, isn't really a "concept" album. RN1814, however, is.

nothing :rip: low key everything is a concept album. wether intentional or not

True, but I think they mean albums with linear narratives and/or overarching stories. May or may not have characters.

Shocked at Electra Heart actually making it looool

Anyways amazing top 3 but Liz Pair's album (despite being the best on the list) is waaay too high considering how loose its concept is.

The Archandroid deserved to top that list.

What isna concept album in some way?

Yea I never really understood it either. I typically associate it with prog but most albums could be "concept" albums

What is BTS's album concept?

It’s based on Jung’s book Map of Soul.

Persona

Shadow

Ego

Ego is your identity, while the persona is the mask you wear to survive and thrive – your social personality. Shadow is the aspect you hide so that you can integrate and find acceptance”

I think it initially had good concept but it was never fully executed. It was meant to be a 3 album trilogy but due to their hiatus ended up being combined into only 2 albums. 1 EP & 1 double/combination album. Persona had its own  album but Shadow & Ego were combined  in Map of Soul: 7

I feel like Love Yourself/ The Most Beautiful Moment in Life or even Wings are much better concept album trilogies from them :michael: But they don’t have their big hits so they usually get overlooked.

I’m puzzled that they picked Control instead of RN1814 for Janet. Is Control really even a concept album?

Bjork is missing @ top 10. List invalid.
