M!X Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Just came back from watching it and it was pure CAMP, there were some hilarious moments, the audience were legit LOLing Not the best movie but if you do not take it seriously it's really fun
NoisYBoY Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Watched a pirated copy She sang Titanium better than Sia tbh

manwhore Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Just saw an ad for this on TV while at gym. Lmao pg13!!!??? Pathetic

They prob thought that was too girly or drag queens and in the end, this did nothing to prompt the film. It was clever but a complete failure. This is not the demo that will watch this
MingYouToo Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Saw it today, was pretty meh, death scenes were weird and frankly the final confrontation was anticlimactic.

stevenisFADING Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I hope this flops because I've hated everything about this. lol.
Mariya Takeuchi Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Spoiler I was expecting the twist to be that the mother's/dead parents consciousness was transferred to the dolls but there was no twist. It felt like there were a lot of cuts to the kills to make it PG13.
PeopleLikeUs Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 The movie left me confused. When she was start singing, I was confused than ever. Her strut in the hallway still the best part of movie.
kandicha Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 how does it have a 94% on rottentomatoes but a 2.8 on letterboxd, lol i already agreed to see this with someone anyway but... who to believe

I honestly don’t view them any different from IMDb or even RT audience scores.

I don’t see Megan being anything more than a slightly fun afternoon with popcorn, so 2.5 sounds about right Maybe if it was R, but from what I’m hearing it’s light on horror
Gossip_Boy Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 The percentage number will drop once more reviews come in but it will probably end up being one of, if not the, best reviewed January horror flicks in ages. From a couple reviews I've read, there seems to be a Black Mirror-like level of social commentary on the issue of letting technology raise your kids.
fridayteenage Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 (edited) oh wow. this is like an a24 horror review level. i was expecting a typical blumhouse, which on avg is around 53 metascore. remember the vvitch is 83 on metacritic, 60s on imdb. Edited January 4, 2023 by fridayteenage
