fridayteenage Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 $20 mil OW and 70+ MC, non-franchise: Nope (40s) Encanto Us (70s) Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (40s) Hustlers (30s) Ford v Ferrari (30s) Knives Out Hmm, i wonder when we'll get back to the point where obvious Oscar bait is slaying box office again.
Mellark Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Just watched this last night and the theater was full and seated for Megan. Spoiler I thought it wasn’t bad. I just feel like the movie being PG-13 made it lose most of its charm but it’s very campy and fun. The plot felt predictable to me, but overall enjoyable. The way she basically killed that boy in the campgrounds was wild though. This will have a good opening weekend considering there isn’t a lot going on in January when it comes to films, honestly.
BNF91 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Early Friday estimate. M3GAN is smashing. $10.7M opening day. Can still change as it is very early. But locks up $25M for the wknd.

WildAmerican Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 just came back and LOVED it. My crowd was in stitches for most of the movie, one of the best in theater experiences I've had in a while. This is WAY funnier than it needs to be, even if the plot is a little basic.
WildAmerican Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 everyone was cackling during this scene with the dog
Roman Holiday Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 Just came back. This was definitely a lot of fun, great for a crowded theater. Although people were being annoying with the loud talking. Yeah it was a bit basic and could have used some more kills, but great popcorn flick and my niece loved it!

perfillusion Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 This was good campy fun. Not scary and I wish there were a couple more kills but really entertaining.

Bimbo Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 She's a ******* queen, there's no other way to put it. Had the whole theater laughing and gasping

Smile has a B- and still smashed. Barbarian has a C+. Edited January 7, 2023 by Roman Holiday
