The straight conservatives  are so anti gay atm. They prob thought that was too girly or drag queens and in the end, this did nothing to prompt the film. It was clever but a complete failure. This is not the demo that will watch this

Roman Holiday

The “viral” marketing feels a bit forced

Saw it today, was pretty meh, death scenes were weird and frankly the final confrontation was anticlimactic.

Mind using spoiler tags to elaborate? I'm watching only to support queen Alison Williams

Spoiler

I was expecting the twist to be that the mother's/dead parents consciousness was transferred to the dolls but there was no twist. It felt like there were a lot of cuts to the kills to make it PG13.

The movie left me confused. When she was start singing, I was confused than ever. Her strut in the hallway still the best part of movie.

letterboxd are a particular crowd. I honestly don’t view them any different from IMDb or even RT audience scores.

Idk, aside from the radicalized campaigns, I find most audience scores on those sites fairly accurate with movies. I don’t see Megan being anything more than a slightly fun afternoon with popcorn, so 2.5 sounds about right

Maybe if it was R, but from what I’m hearing it’s light on horror

The percentage number will drop once more reviews come in but it will probably end up being one of, if not the, best reviewed January horror flicks in ages.

From a couple reviews I've read, there seems to be a Black Mirror-like level of social commentary on the issue of letting technology raise your kids.

oh wow.

this is like an a24 horror review level.

i was expecting a typical blumhouse, which on avg is around 53 metascore.

remember the vvitch is 83 on metacritic, 60s on imdb.
