I still think everyone (or no one) should be required to sign up, since that doesn't actually mean they'll be sent to war. When drafted they will all be examined and tested, and only the strongest and most fit will be sent to war; i.e., mostly men, because yes it's biology. It's a very difficult situation. But they are biologically stronger than women, just because there are exceptions it doesn't change anything. You might be weak, but you would still be stronger than an average woman with the same amount of training you would get before being sent off to fight. And where are those equal rights people are talking about? Women still earn less than men for the same positions, they are still by far the most common victims of domestic abuse and rape, they commit way less violent crimes like rape, murders or abuse, there are still way more women doing sex "work", they are still the ones being forced or pressured into accepting violent kinks to not be seen as prudes even tho it's almost always the men who are into harming their sex partner, they are still objectified and sexualised from a very young age (like teaching girls who are still children to shave their bodies or 'teen' being the most popular porn category) in the way men aren't in all the possible areas from porn to movies to shows to music to magazines to commercials to their jobs, they are still the ones spending way more time taking care of children even in households where both of the parents work full time, they still don't hold the same political power that men do (and men are thr ones starting these wars as well), they are still put under pressure to shave their bodies, dress up, wear makeup etc. I understand the frustration, cause there are men who don't have a bizarre obsession with violence like many men do (I'd like to believe a lot of us gays are like that) and wouldn't even get in a physical fight, let alone go fight a war, but drafting women as well is not a fair solution. If all these things magically change one day, then maybe we can talk about women also getting drafted, but until then it would be ridiculous to go through with this idea. They are doing this because they know many men will be smart a$$es and say they are transgender to get out of signing up lol. I don’t even think you can be transgender in the military anymore if you want to engage in active battle due to the hormones treatment. Signing up for the draft and getting selected are two diff things. I don’t agree with the draft but at the same time if they started coming over here we’ll…:we’d all have to fight anyways?
