Musk says Taiwan should hand some control to Beijing to reduce tensions with China.

 

The Financial Times asked Musk about his Tesla factory in Shanghai. He suggested Taiwan could be a Special Administrative Zone similar to Hong Kong.

 

He said conflict with Taiwan is inevitable and that there will be a wider impact on the global economy.

 

In response, a Chinese Foreign minister said "Taiwan is a domestic affair and Beijing would have peaceful unification while resolutely smashing Taiwanese separatism" 

 

Taiwan's Foreign Ministry declined to comment
