The summer season in North America is limited, and her summer is filled with Europe and major NA markets. Then she can continue the tour into the Fall season, in indoor venues, and in cities where she *may* not have stadium level demand (or places that do not have an appropriately sized stadium)

Heck, as a member of the General Public I'd be more willing to go to a tour in Nov that reminds me of a summer carnival than to one thats named after an album I haven't even heard about.

I can agree with that aspect. It is confusing. I am just happy she is not omitting smaller markets like many stadium-sized artists do. I would assume at her level, the GP cares less about her recent work than they do about her namesake as a live performer.

At that point, even the single wasn't out. Therefore, she had to name it Summer Carnival. Secondly, she can not tour stadiums in fall/winter. There are so many places that she skipped. Therefore, it's just the continuation of the Summer Carnival, but in arenas.
