They really are exhausting it to the point where even a Vegas residency is questionable. I wonder whether that's still the plan or negotiations fell through so now they're booking everything for her while they can. But also it's funny because even this "overexhaustion" would go away in an instant if she decides to do the Super Bowl. When's the next time they'll have the SB in a stadium with a domed roof? 3

She just needs to hide from the spotlight for a few years focus on two wolves, then people will miss her, and then do another tour. Question is she'd be close to 50 next time, can she still be that ACROBATIC SINGER? My goodness.... 50..... How time flies.....
Braz Posted March 30 Posted March 30 She fell down so hard charts and popularity wise in the US, I dunno she's coming anywhere near the SB unless a younger act calls her to sing one song.

It's not like Usher is a bigger pull charts-wise. She has the legacy, the performing skills, the hits etc. I think the bigger question is whether she actually wants to do it (not like it's beneath her, but I assume she could book it if she wanted to.) 3 minutes ago, Hiphopper said: She just needs to hide from the spotlight for a few years focus on two wolves, then people will miss her, and then do another tour. Honestly I don't know if she'll have this much of a touring power the next time she comes around, so like in... 4-5 years perhaps? This definitely feels like the crowning achievement of her touring status and - unless she pulls off something great - it's probably the last extensive stadium-sized trek, at least in the US. But again, an SBHTS would probably solve the issue.
Liafen Posted March 30 Posted March 30 btw next year it's a domed stadium... (wouldn't make sense to do it after 2 stadium legs in the US tho lol. maybe in 26 or 27 kicking off a new era)
Braz Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I think she was gonna do it the year Rihanna did it, even planned the whole Trustfall era around it but Jay-Z probably booked his girl instead.

So I guess it's understandable if she decides to do an arenas tour next time (not for Oceania~

Madonna's record was untouched for so long without anyone coming close sans Bethané in '19, and now suddenly both Bey, Beth, and TS are running circles around that 406M figure. The touring world in itself is going into exhaust mode right now and the economic reality will catch up real soon. There are already signs of this. 1

She's gonna celebrate 25 years in the business and the Super Bowl would be a great way to do that. Plus, they need to revive her catalogue and introduce it to the new generation, and there's no better way of doing that than a Halftime Show followed by a Greatest Hits with a couple of new singles. 2
pinktennisfreak Posted March 31 Posted March 31 All Out of Fight entered top #9 most streamed on her Spotify's page. #155 in France today. 1

Doesn't really make sense to headline the Super Bowl just for a boost in streaming. It's mainly there to sell a major US tour, which she won't do.

It will be the "Glitter in the air live at the Grammys" of this decade.

People know she's amazing. As far as I'm aware, Usher's back catalogue did not get that big og a boost either. The SB's effects on music consumption pretty much goes away after 3 days if it's not sustained. So if no new era, no new tour… I don't see it.

She did arenas in Miami and Sunrise last year, sold out. I think booking a stadium in Miami was a risk. Most of the tickets were unsold after all.

Oh so there's gonna be absolutely zero promo for the tour and they'll resort to cancelling instead of getting their a**** to promote the tour, great, her team reaches an all time low now
pinktennisfreak Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Yikes! But, expected. Orlando, LA, San Diego and Vegas coming next.
Arknex Posted April 11 Posted April 11 They didn't even lift a finger to do anything about it.. We got used to her team not being able to promote her music properly, but now they mismanaging her tour. Roger Davies, your time to retire is long overdue 1
