HBK-79 Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 CNN did a 'Women Who Ruled Music in 2023' and they only mentioned Taylor and Beyonce. No mention of P!nk...and P!nk just might get close to a $1B gross once this tour is over. 2

I rather they didn't mention her, I love how she stays winning but also keeps people seeing her as an underdog.
Liafen Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 her PR is at an all time low tbh. and looking at the 2nd US leg its not like she's above it lmao

Artists' personalities, looks and social media presence often seem more important for their success than the actual music they release. I know it was always like that to some extent but I think it's much stronger than ever now. Unfortunately that doesn't really play in P!nk's favour. As much as I refused to agree that she was over commercially after H2BH, I truly believe she is now... That "stand on me while I belt Try flawlessly" and "sweet Britney Spears" were big positive PR moments for her that went semi-viral but she manages to ruin it all by the soccer mum esthetics, "uncool" fashion moments and unapologetic political statements.

With the right song, she could definitely bounce back. What About Us was the perfect example. Even Trustfall the song wasn't doing that bad~

It was #1 on radio in my country for weeks (wtf ) yet it barely touched streaming TOP 60.

Top 20 in the Uk, Aus and Germany isn't that bad~of cos it's nothing compares to those top selling artists, but P!nk was/is/and forever will be considered for her longevity, getting a Top 20 hits in her mid 40's is pretty good~
pinktennisfreak Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 It's not just PR. Her branding has become an issue as well. Very serious issue. I like what Kelly Clarkson has done with her brand over the past few years. She has her show. I wish Alecia would also do something, because I do think it could also help her musical career. IDK..acting, food TV show, keeping up with Alec!a and kids... 1 1

She likes "not following trends", being the underdog, being understimated, because when she wins at something, she can say "suck it, I did it my way, didn't follow the "playbook" and still won". Which worked to some extent, but after 2018, it has been BAD bad. The fact that she has a bunch of "yes, ma'am" and old people on her team doesn't help either. I'm curious to see what's next for her. Roger Davies is really close to retiring, I wonder if he has something on his sleeve for his last years with her. 3

Sadly they did nothing for it and all the promo went to NGNDA, they deserve all the flopping in the world after that
Gabriel Guedes Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Took a quick look at how the concerts are selling. Seems like California (L.A and San Diego) and Vegas are slow but steady, she'll get there eventually, but Florida is the real Texas of this leg. She'll have to get the flu for those 2 concerts.
Braz Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Speaking of Trustfall, it's truly a hit in France. It re-entered the Spotify top 100 due to New Years parties. RYG did well but worse than last year in terms of chart positions. As usual all her stats just keep getting worse. 1

I think it'll serve longevity. Truly the highlight (both sing and the video) of the era. About the 2nd part, her team being useless as usual. : 1
rta1913 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I guess we are using this as a base... I am currently "re-discovering" her old albums, specially the first 3 which I have not listened in full before. I was hoping 'Try This' was a "underrated" moment but it truly was rough to get through. I actually really liked "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" (perfect R&B ballad) so I was shook to see it's the least streamed song of the album and OT, in case anyone was wondering... I decided to keep my ticket for the rescheduled show, she better not cancel/postpone a THIRD time. 2
aaron511 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Catch Me While I'm Sleeping is the least stremed? TOP 3 on that album

Liafen Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Does anybody have a touringdata sub/support or sth that you can request stats with? I'm curious about the % sold for the NA leg, they haven't done it yet (but did so a week after the 1st leg)
rta1913 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 question off topic... I recently discovered some bonus tracks that I had not heard before, and I of course want them legally I found two: More (H2BH Japan Bonus track) and Boring (Funhouse Japan Bonus Track). There's a Japanese website where I can buy them from. The one I am having trouble with is "The King Is Dead but the Queen Is Alive" (TTAL) and that one was supposed to be a Japanese bonus track as well but I can't find it anywhere in Japan... does anybody knows where I can get it from? I know for sure I can buy it from Germany but Amazon and iTunes are a pain with foreign payment methods etc OT: All this time I thought the "Heartbreaker" in the JLF/Heartbreaker medley was the one from 'I'm Not Dead' and it's a cover

It's on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes etc. in my country. It's on the Fan Edition of TTAL as well. I have the physical copy
