Why the mods merged this thread and the box office and RT threads? We already have like 10 Joker threads, 10 "Taylor is so successful omg" threads, etc. and these are still separate/open. :what:

Some people only like to post in specific threads, not the main movie threads...

@Ryan

Gaga is allowed to have 100 threads about the same topic. Just like Liddos are allowed to say whatever they want.

OT:

Going to see this soon after my midterms and Easter dinner are through. Hubby has no interest but I can't miss seeing this in the theater. :johnald:

Ugh I can't wait. Somebody said the ending was lackluster though.... But I'm still seeing it regardless.

This movie is about to outdo both Sonic films combined. Poor furries, that's the only thing they had left. :fan:

Just got out of the movies and I FRICKEN LOVED IT, a total love letter to hardcore Mario fans, can’t wait for this to be the next huge movie franchise :clap3:

I'm going to try and see this tomorrow. :duca: So excited.

Just left the theater and it was EVERYTHING :jonny:definitely nostalgia bate for someone like myself who grew up watching my siblings and cousins play. I saw it in  4DX/3D and it was really enjoyable (the moving seats were kinda chaotic tho). I would honestly see it again and I hope they make a sequel. The movie pays homage to everything great about the game and shows every element, world, character, etc. Bowser was definitely the standout and Jack Black served best voice acting. Movie was 9/10 and I immediately bought the steelbook from Best Buy when the movie ended.

What?? The ending is EVERYTHING and I’m sooo glad they spun it the way they did :jonnycat: I was so happy they decided to have someone else share Mario’s spotlight during the climax :WAP:

I would watch the fuc out of a Metroid or Zelda one, but I'm scared Hollywood would do them wrong :skull:

I can see a Kirby one, the kids would love it. I think it would be a big hit like this one, tho maybe not as big.

I think a Donkey Kong solo could be huge since he was one of the more popular characters aside from Mario and Luigi.

Was Chris Pratt tolerable as Mario??

Haven’t watched it yet but I’m hoping its success leads to a Super Mario Galaxy movie with Rosalina!

I loved this movie in 4DX

The fact that this is doing more than Avatar2’s first week is very surprising to me. Nintendo is really killing it! :clap3: This might be the final nail to MCU’s coffin, I fear.

I think there's an intention to make another movie depending on how successful this one is.

There's just too many important characters missing and I think they are intentionally left out in case there is a second movie.

there is literally no universe where this doesn't get a sequel and multiple spin-off's.
