I just saw it and yep this will be a SMASH It was really fun & loved the references from the games. I get why the critics didn't love it but the audience wont be disappointed.

 

if they do a sequel i hope they use Mario Galaxy theme for it. 2B smash secured

So I took my niece (4) and nephew (6) and they loved it lol. My nephew couldn’t get his eyes off the screen. The theater was like 50% kids and they were all annoying as hell. The “I don’t like mushrooms either” “he’s gonna be in the hospital for DAYS!” “ITS A MINI MUSHROOM!!” outbursts I wanted to DIE!

 

I thought it was fine. Pretty in line with what I was expecting

You guys, reviewers have to be really ignorant about Mario’s stuff because this was amazing.

 

Anyone with even a little knowledge about the characters and lore (if it can even be called that) will enjoy this. Pure entertainment, plus animation is incredibly good. I see this doing really well to be honest.

 

Oh and regarding the plot: it’s completely fine, even more complex and nuanced than your average Mario game. I don’t understand the complaints about it.

This was okay! It was a bit formulaic and I felt they could have padded it out a little, but overall if you’re a fan of the Mario universe, you’ll like it.
