A lot of people on social medias are romanticizing serial killers. What do you think about that ? Do you think thats ok ? :biblio:

As sick and twisted as it is, I think most of the people are just doing it for attention.

"Are"? This isn't new, even if Twitter is trying to tell something different. Some people even marry killers and other criminals once they're in jail. It has been going on for decades.

Because it's ~edgy~ and ~aesthetic~

Who knows. Why do women send letters to serial killers and others in prison. Crazy

To escape their own reality?

Similarly why people project on the Kardashians.

They are just as messed up as the serial killers that's why.

Only the hot ones. And only the white ones.

Why is this such a sudden shock? :rip:  People have been dressing up as serial killers for Halloween for decades? Scary/slasher movies literally glorify serial killers for decades and decades? the list goes on.

You guys see something on tik tok and freak out as if it’s new.

They have for years. Tumblr girls used to have fan pages for the Columbine killers, Nikolas Cruz, TJ Lane, etc., as if they were Justin Bieber or something. And I'm certain it was probably happening for decades before that.

Because they are dumb or have hybristophilia. A person with a right mind will never adore serial killer. :cm:

Nothing new, this actually happened back in the 70s during the Ted Bundy case.

Quote

Bundy was an attractive, college-educated and charismatic man.

He was a former law student, had worked in politics, and was described by those who knew him as very likeable with a good sense of humour.

So when he was caught by police and went on trial for murder, many couldn't picture him carrying out such brutal crimes.

His handsome looks made him somewhat of a celebrity and he attracted many female fans.

Margaret Good, one of his early defence lawyers, recalls in Berlinger's docuseries how women would turn up to court and pass her handwritten notes to give him.

"He just doesn't look like the type to kill somebody," one young woman told a reporter outside the courtroom.

Classic case of 'identifying with the aggressor'. The world is terrifying, some want to believe they'd be the one understanding, patient soul who'd unlock compassion in the heart of an evil villain & 'fix him'. It's idiotic but easier than accepting that there are people in the world that would kill you without hesitation. Seen gay dudes judging the behaviour of Dahmer's victims as if they haven't had anon hook-ups themselves. Don't wanna face their mortality

American culture has glorified violence and serial killers for decades. This is just a symptom.

I don't know, but I am in shock that Netflix actually purchased and released this project. Ryan Murphy loves glamorizing killers and using real people's real-life pain and trauma as fodder for nostalgia and camp.
