KillingYourCareer Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 (edited) Scientists have been trying to convince us that aquifers exist by spamming them on text books used to indoctrinate us ever since a tender age, but has any of us ever seen one? I, for sure, have not. And neither have you, I bet. I'm telling you, aquifers are the biggest hoax in recent history. Those mighty geologists are laughing at us non-stop for believing in the lie that they fabricated, but thankfully, there's a growing movement of enlightened people holding anti-aquifer rallies to make the public aware of the truth. Next month we'll gather to climb Cima Piazzi, a mountain in the Italian Alps said to be home to a mythical aquifer, in protest. The slogan? "There's beautiful rock, there's scratchy sand, there's hellish fire... but don't try to tell us there's a whole layer of water under our feet and expect us to believe it!" - we'll be reciting it nonstop until we reach the mountain top and the whole valley can hear us. Saint Thomas said that he wouldn't believe Jesus was God until he saw evidence--and so the Lord showed clear proof to the skeptic, and he was soon converted. Will those mighty professors listen to the growing community of aquifer deniers and show us proof of their existence? Until then, water will only officially exist in the form of oceans, seas, bays, gulfs, coves, lakes, rivers, trenches, ditches, canals, basins, reservoirs, puddles, creeks, streams, brooks, waterfalls, pools, swamps, rain, snow, hail, vapor, ice, showers, baths and leaks. For those who don't know, here's a scheme depicting an aquifer is (of course, no real life photos can be found of the phenomenon, almost as if it was a state secret...): Edited September 27, 2022 by KillingYourCareer
Bloodflowers. Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 I thought Aquifers are fans of the iconic 90s band Aqua (who gave us the classic Barbie Girl), so yes, we are Aquifers and we exist! Stream "Turn Back Time"!
Ash12345 Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 I'm a geology major. One day you'll stick a piezometer in the ground and have aquifer water all over face.
Smarticle Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 this could be applied to a lot of things you read and have not seen
bspearsdidthat Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 i never saw one, so of course it's not true.
Contessa Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Is this one of the new conspiracy theories spawned by your newly elected prime minister?
WildOne Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Please tell me this is trolling, I can’t take any new anti-science movements ?
Roberto Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 (edited) What is this? Edited September 28, 2022 by Roberto
Ash12345 Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 @KillingYourCareer my 10 year old cousin just discovered proof of an aquifer by the beach, will you nominate him for the Nobel Prize?

There are many other ways to detect, measure, find,... things. Oil and gas exploration are specialised in sending shock waves and mapping the reflections on every layer. They have to be able to tell the difference between a layer of water, oil, gas, shale,... before they spend on drilling a few test holes to check if there is really oil or gas. When they drill for oil or gas, they have to install steel tubes and cement to prevent leakage into aquifers or other layers. How can we prove that the ground is indeed a thin layer on top of water? The Americans are pumping water of the aquifers excessively and the ground must be dropping. The ground drops and the concrete slabs that were poured into the ground are staying as high as where the ground used to be. A water well can be up high above the sinking ground. In California the ground has dropped more than human height. You can see how deep and much water a certain farm has pumped by how much the ground has dropped in comparison to their neighbours.
