I think we won't know until the next show, but if it's off it may be off for good (unless she adds it back for the US leg or the July 29th show)

The tour merch shirt says No Skips, I’m pretty sure she’ll add it back on.

I think she ran into the problem of being her own opening act and “killing” daylight, then expecting everyone to be in their seats. People are still finding their seats when the normal opening act is performing.

Then she’s still performing the high tech part of the show as the sun is still out. Cut something like Rather Be Young, Get Me Bodied, Black Parade and include Thique/AUIYM and Drunk in Love

i think if this social media culture wasn't messy & ppl weren't quick to prove this tour is somehow a failure...she could start on time knowing fans will get to their seats momentarily. but clowns would love to post footage of her singing during the opening and showing that not every seat is full.

After a few dates, people will finally understand that the show is supposed to start at 8PM and not 9PM.

Ticketmaster should specifically say it in the email they send to the concert goers. :biblio: (I don't know how they express it I didn't get the e-mail yet)

Ok after attending 2 shows and a day of watching videos non stop now everything has settled in; this is how I would rank the Renaissances performances:

Amazing:

Cozy

I'm That Girl

Alien Superstar

Break My Soul

These are really on par with her best moments from past tours.

Great:

Plastic off the Sofa

Energy

Move

No major complaints, but not quite show stopping either

Good:

Heated

Summer Renaissance

Thique

All Up In Your Mind

Mostly liked them, they fit the respective song, but could be made even better

Letdown:

Virgo's Groove

Cuff It

Pure/Honey

America Has A Problem

Church Girl

These really did not do the songs justice. Some of the most upbeat songs son the album and she's literally standing still. They either need reworking or more energy put into them from her. She wouldn't need to do entire dance routines but at least move some. Do some body rolls, flip your hair more, just do something.

I adore the Pure/Honey performance, from what I've seen! That camerawork is masterful

I don't think you're getting the vision for these because they're pretty perfect as they are. Some more movement for the first bit of Pure but otherwise they're great as is

I mean, I got the vision and the concept of it all is really a gag. I love the setting and the unseriousness of it all, and the contrast with the hot costumes is very tongue-in-cheek in the best way possible.

The first bit of Pure when she plays with the camera is actually the best part imo, but she isn't doing much after that. I wish she was more dynamic and expressive in her moves throughout the whole thing.

Weird that she would take it off. :rip:

I could see some of the performances being meant to feature elements from the MVs on the screens that she’ll only be adding once those are released. Heated for instance looks quite empty.

Is there any streaming links for tonight?

I haven’t sifted through the entire show on purpose but could someone share a bit about the crowd interaction? I have a BeyHive B ticket and wondering if she does any direct to crowd stuff like how she literally held hands during “All Night” at FWT. Also, where does more interaction happen: cat walk state or front of stage in the pit?

Still awaiting my show, but between what I've seen and friends that have actually gone, the following tweaks are considered a must:

* Intro: I kind of made peace with it, but a friend that went (and loved the show overall) is adamant that it just doesn't work live.

The whole "opening act" component isn't pushed hard enough, so it just presents as Bey starting her tour for a dance album with a block of random ballads. They either need to literally announce "introducing the opening act, beyonce", cut it to one song with a rip-off dress reveal, or just cut it all together and start from the Rennie intro. Friend who went is adamant ballad section can even stay, it just needs to be swapped into another part of the show.

* Heated: this NEEDS to change asap. Like others have said, it's wild that she literally a) just stands there and b) does it way back on stage. It's an immersive song (especially that outro) so really ought to be in Club Rennie. If she's not up to choreo (although a body roll wouldn't go amiss lol), then at least have Les Twins with her at that point rather than when she's off stage lol

* Cuff It or BMS Need Choreo: At first, I was adamant that both need choreo, but from friends who've gone BMS really works "as is".

That said, I could not have imagined a scenario where the two big uptempos of the album/era have been paired with choreo-less performances. So, IMO it needs to be one or the other. Not both. She doesn't even need to go all out, but rather falling in and out of some kind of routine.

I know she's navigating some kind of injury etc, so I'm managing expectations. But I do think it is important that we be vocal about what we want.

Her team definitely have their ear to the streets and I don't see buckets of value in the whole "she has nothing to prove, she's been dancing and going full out for 20 years" stance as all that does is cement the mindset (within her + her team) of people being satisfied with 50% when we know she has much more in the tank. There is a reason I/we stan Bey over a (modern-day) Britney or Rihanna or all the girls who get away with giving the bare minimum. Her super-power (so to speak) is her ability to go full out on all fronts. I'd rather she heal, find savvy/satisfying ways to engage us in the interim, and get back to being BEYONCE in the way she's known, loved, and revered for being.

Agreed with this. Even though the way she performs it has kinda grown on me I feel like the only reason she doesn’t do it in Club Rennie is because they couldn’t bring those damn fanning robots there and that annoys me.

I have been thinking this and saying it to anyone who'll listen lol

As someone who is still shocked that she really started a tour without premiering the visuals first, I'm left wondering whether the show will change post the visuals coming out.

I've noticed that she's specifically dancing on older tracks (RTW, Diva, CIL, LOT) meaning she "can" do it (to a degree). Yet much of the new material is being left somewhat blank on the performance front.

A grueling tour is one thing, but a visual gives her the benefit of cuts and edits (think the special effects in the Already video). So, it figures that it'll bring with it the key choreo/dances for TikTok for the Cuff Its, BMS' etc.

Hoping/manifesting that they'll add those elements once the visuals drop. Unless Bey does a Lemonade and drops a relatively choreo-less visual.

We'll see.

If that's the case, then bless all those poor fans who paid the same price (Europe-wise) and won't get the full show that she's cooking for the rest of the people...

I don't think that's fair at all. :biblio::rip:

It's something I find really annoying.  It's always her European fans too.
