I’d understand firing your chef for not cooking the meal at all, but what really drove him to the point of refusing to reheat something. She's probably just not paying someone to cook for her if they don't want to cook. Food is vulnerable and I couldn't imagine her trusting him after he said he doesn't want to cook for her. It's too easy for a chef to get revenge for there to be any conflict.
