davorincek Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Personally I think it will underperform at first, and then get hyped by movie bros and then it will have legs
RihFenty20 Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Honestly, Iβm expecting a smash. From hype alone I feel like itβll do 1B. If itβs good (which I think it will be), Iβm thinking maybe 2.5B.Β

SwiftLover Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 $800M and iβm being generousΒ no1carrie about Avaturd2 Β
Smarticle Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 4B+ when he re-releases it over the next 25 years
SaintWest Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 I think if Jurassic World can reach $1bil in 2022, so can this. Anything past $1.5 would be a shock to me considering movie going trends lately and the fact that it will ABSOLUTELY go to Disney+. Disney put way too much money into this either way, but I think they know it will bleed money and are investing in it as their own long-term franchise.Β

Β They will definitely use the same tactic for the sequel since the whole purpose of Avatar is to be a cinematic experience that is designed to be seen in the biggest screen possible Β Seeing the immersive alien world in IMAX 3D, etc. will never compare to watching it on your phone/tablet The same way the experience of cheering and clapping along with a huge crowd when Andrew and Tobey appeared on the screen or when the Avengers got resurrected from death will never be the same as streaming it alone in your bedroom
Bloodflowers. Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 If pandemic and war in Ukraine didn't happen and inflations are sky high, this movie would indeed cross 3,5B or 4B
Gerardo Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 If Jurassic World: Dominion did 1B, this can easily do more than that, Iβd say around 1.5BΒ
Gojira Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Since I have zero interest in seeing it, expect unprecedented box office success, as the less a movie appeals to me, the more money it seems to make. I suspect it will make multiple billions and I'll have to hear about it for months.

I meant eventually it will hit Disney+ after a theatrical release. Β
