Let's get it clear: With "childhood" I mean when you were from 6 to 12. Don't confuse it with adolescence (12+).

I was only allowed to listen to religious/gospel music until I was about 12-13 :rip: Sadly I can’t really participate in this. I will say when I was 12, I bought my first album — Mariah’s E=MC2. And that’s only because Mariah’s 90s music was pretty safe and leaned into some spiritual or choral themes sometimes, so my mom wasn’t as against her.

I'm sorry to read that, feel free to make an exception and post those early non-religious albums you experienced post 12 years old.
