Everything looks cute and magical... with the exception of the lead lmao. Timmy Chevrolet is definitely miscast... a reverse Tom Holland experience. He can stay with the sad traumatized characters, cause he lacks the charisma and goofiness to pull this off. Stiff during the entirety of the trailer.

Not Chevrolet :rip:

I wonder if he’ll be able to promote it…he also has Dune coming up, what a great 1-2 punch.

WB must have a big confidence in this movie to get them release in holiday season... and the trailer looks boring. :toofunny3: Well, best of luck, i guess!

Despite the online backlash, the trailer has more views and likes than even the first Dune II teaser. So maybe there is an audience for this after all.

It’s strange. Appearance-wise, he looks like a young Wonka, but he possesses none of Wonka’s personality. I wasn’t engaged or interested at all in the trailer. I don’t think this role is the right fit for him.

They should have done a sequel where the kid from the 1st movie is in his late 20s and has trouble taking on the role of Wonka due to modern capitalism, inflation, the rise of childhood obesity, non-GMO, labor exploitation claims.

It could have been really interesting. I would totally believe if they said "this is a sequel to the JD movie. The kid is now in his late 20s, and runs the factory"

That would be so cool.

How does he keep getting work? He can’t act and he’s not attractive. He still looks 12. He must have connections or something.

Or they’re busy making memes from it to trash it.

I appreciate this film because it finally allows everyone to see how much of a charisma void Timmy is/has always been.

thank you! I couldn't stand him in CMBYN, Little Women or Lady Bird

he just recites the lines, doesn't even come close to acting them.
