Most people don't even know she is a vocalist.

This lie :rip:

OT: she’d be remember a big star of the 2010’s, a big amount of hits, her signature ponytail look, and her amazing voice

Her voice and ponytail. She has so much more to grow and thankfully she's still relevant.

It's crazy to me how she has 6 albums though. Beyonce was on Lemonade, Gaga on Chromatica. :deadbanana:In the grand scheme of things, they were already much more established by their 6th studio album with larger cultural impact, celebrity, iconography, musicality and versatility, etc.:rip:

oversized sweatshirts, ponytail and that's it.

None of her hits ever really crossed over outside of the young-pop world, nor are any of them showing signs of becoming classics, so I think her legacy would be “transracial 2010s it-girl who had a good run of cute quick little pop hits”. But she doesn’t really have a mega smash or album that will be remembered and respected

That girl from that kids show who also had hit singles, and had memes about raceplay

I like Ari's music but she has no legacy let's be honest :rip:

Her music is very generic pop of its time, which is not a bad thing, but it's also not something that will be remembered very much in the future.

She already has legend status

She absolutely does not lol. I love her but she hasn't proven herself as a performer.

Everyone unanimously agreeing it would be her ponytail and/or extreme tanning/untanning :rip: Points were made though unless things turn around for her

Image wise she doesn't have a stand out other than the cat ears thing she used to do.

Vocally/musically she's like a homogenized Mariah.

Celebrity wise she's just like a "hit pop singer" but she hasn't really cemented that. Like what has she changed about music? She's just been successful like alot of artists but her legacy is kind of empty. Which is why she's shifting into theater productions and television media to expand her docier.

She absolutely has. Contrary to the belief of internet homosexuals who think legend status comes 15-20 years in when somebody is still touring and getting moderate hits, nobody gives a single **** about that career phase. Legend status comes from somebody's commercial or cultural or critical peak. Ariana Grande DOMINATED the mid-late 10s. Her look and sound will live on as a cultural reference point for decades to come.

There are "legends" who got that status with much less than Ariana has PLUS time. In 10 years it will be silly to not consider her a legend, even if she retires today.
